Olympique Lyonnais were in Montreal last week to play PSG but I didn't get to N'Jie since he as injured.

Yesterday's article from footmercato (french):

"N'Jie leaving the club? It's tough. The Football World moves quickly. Couple months ago I was criticized because I was not putting him on the pitch. Now... we will get criticized because he's a sought-after player who has some important talks with other teams. Things change." - Hubert Fournier, Lyon's manager

Doesn't necessarily means something, but seems to me like he's really close to leaving. The article also states that OL are trying to get 15€ for N'Jie.

Well it seems all the guess work and general feel about the squad by us non experts was vindicated by the ManU game. Surely Poch and co knew the same.
1. Quality Backup striker - Berahino has to be the preferred
2. Pace on the Wings - most likely right footed, N'jie has to be the favourite
3. DM - Dier lovely bloke, dedicated, young and willing but he is a CB. Has to be a quality experienced DM with good passing and game wise experience. Usual suspects Bender, Kramer preferred. Voit the dark horse or most likley since he is cheaper.

And the luxury buy - Yarmolenko, sure goals in Ukraine does not mean goals in UK but crikey this has to be the pokie play.

Sorry but we have let go - Lennon, Dembele, Adebayor, Townsend

Did you leave out Milk and Cookies? or what does Santa Levy like ?

Wouldn't it be amazing if someone like Zlatan - who has won things everywhere he's been - thought as an experiment he'd join a club like us and see if he was so good he could changed the entire clubs fortunes.....

We can dream.

One day in AND WE'RE ALREADY IN A RELEGATION SCARE.

SIGN ANYONE, LEVY!
What a stupid fucking childish comment. Some of us are justifiably fucked off because had Levy not pissed around in the transfer window yet again, and taken us to a to Germany to play 2 games in 24 hours just before our opener, we would have probably picked up 3 points against a disjointed out of form united team. Instead we have 0 points and and gaping holes in the squad. Some of us are passionate about our club. We don't like losing. And we don't need your never ending stream of slimey piss taking bullshit either

So Utd seem resigned to losing De Gea, and will no doubt bid for Lloris.

Anyone think we can resist the advances of Man Utd? Or will Lloris push publicly for a move?

Just goes to show, when people moan about us losing players, when clubs like Man Utd and Bayern Munich even have to shift their best on, we really have no chance when we stumble across a gem like Lloris, Bale or Modric.
true. but i think most moan because we dont give ourselves a fair chance of keeping them longer by making a better attempt at getting CL football & trophies.

we need to invest in a good DM & someone like beharino to stand a chance of getting 4th.

looks like we wont as usual.

i think some but not all of our stars would have stayed a year or 2 longer if we had CL football or the odd trophy.

but from there point of view they see a club who doesnt get in the quality players needed to really challenge for 4th & trophies.

so unless they have a serious lack of ambition then why would they stay at a club who arent serious about CL football & trophies

this team is equipped for 5th-7th & the board arent stupid enough to think u can expect top 4 of this team.

also if u get another year or 2 out of a superstar, it makes a huge difference.
& in that time u can attract better players as u have a superstar & are a team looking to go places.

instead we are a team happy with 5-7th.

not saying its easier to be any better.
but we could go for it a bit more & show a bit more positive intent.

no this does not mean spending 100m or doing a leeds.

we lack ambition in my opinion & i think in many of the players eyes too.

It's very clear we are in desperate need of pace further up the field. A quartet of Chadli, Lamela, Eriksen and kane is far to pedestrian and slow in my opinion. I thought we needed 3 signings but i actually think we need 4.

* 2 strikers
* an attacking midfielder
* a DM

i'm of the opinion that we will probably be successful in getting 3 of the 4 (most probably 2 strikers and an attacking mid). At least 1 of the strikers and the attacking midfielder HAVE to have genuine pace though (especially considering Lennon is off and Townsend might be off too).

Spend weeks pointing out the obvious, listen to apologists happy to write off OT beforehand, we lose due to schoolboy error and having no depth to try and change anything and the apologists say 'well we weren't that bad and it was OT away'. Lose to Stoke and they'll say 'Stoke are tough and it's only 2 games'. Make 1-2 signings when we actually need 3 to have a compete squad and it will be 'I'd rather stick with youth' and so on. Some people accept whatever bullshit they're given, others get more frustrated that we don't give ourselves the best chance possible WITHIN OUR MEANS, not doing a Leeds, not rushing into transfers as it's claimed - Mitchell joined in November.
