Transfers Summer 2016 Transfer Window Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

2014/15 out of the 88 forwards to play at least 5 games in the PL, he was 78th in interceptions (pr. 90 min), 77th in tackles made.

2013/14 out of 86, he was 81th for interceptions and 84th for tackles.

2012/13 out of 78, he was 61st and 55th.

No offence, but you remember wrong, or were mistaking unintelligent running about as productive output.

Well offence has been taken, sir! Greatly taken. I challenge you to a dual on a foggy marsh in.....in.....Milan 1678!

Fair enough, I must be mistaken.

Liverpool are not a team that welcomes black unless they are British. Otherwise, you have no chance. This is common knowledge. :clintonohshit:
Oh, and good ol' Stevie G's not to keen on them either apparently :dembelewtf:
According to El Hadji Diouf. :pochfacepalm:

Kolo Toure has done alright for himself. As has Mahmadou Sakho. I may have missed the satire in your post though.

Feel like Lukaku could be the next big money move. Maybe to City with Pep's warchest of cash that he will have access with, though not sure if he'd want to play second fiddle to Aguero. If Everton hold onto him it will be good well done for them.

If we finish high enough in the league there is a chance we could pull the trigger for him and add to our Belgian warchest. Lukaku, batsman and axel witsel/naingollan would be a great window.

We'd have to REALLY pull the trigger. He's at least a 40 million striker I think honestly. Can't see it happening.

If we finish first or second, I see us having a big transfer pot. At least 50 million. It all depends what Poch wants to do.

We've all seen that spending small can work better than big spending. Problem is that if we win the league, every player we want will have a bigger asking price.

Personally I doubt us finishing on a high will mean we'll be out to sign elite players at elite prices. Pochettino has created a togetherness within the squad of players he has. He won't want to buy in an ego to upset the apple cart. A few key refinements are still what we need, another DM and back up CF. Perhaps we'll still go for Berahino or Dembele mk2?

Elite players at elite prices come with elite egos that Pochettino does not like.

I think right now we have so big succes with the whole up-and-coming talent purchase thing, that even when we qualify for CL, we are unlikely to change too much.

We are thin up top and I expect at least one CF as well as one wide forward to come in, but apart from that Poch seems to trust the likes of Onomah, Mason and Carroll more than we do. And results have proven him right.

Agree, except that the level of those up-and-coming talents will hopefully go up, instead of Chelski and City snapping them up (and loaning them out in hoards).
