Match The Bodø Affair - Part Two: Bodø/Glimt of Nordland vs The Mighty Tottenham - 2000hrs 8th May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 2

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I feel alot of fans just sway with the breeze of the media. If they say Ange is bad, Ange is bad, if they say he is good again now he is good. Quite bizzare how someone's view can completely change after one game rather than judging them against their whole career

I hear that but players aren’t consoles it’s not just power up and return doesn’t mean up to speed. Look at Destiny recently he’s been outstanding it took him months, some on here wrote him off same applies to all returnees individually and as a unit.

Now before the usual suspects descend into apoplexy because I’m not calling him a fat useless clown who’s out of his depth because China and Scotland snigger emoji etc. Our league is position beyond unacceptable, his stubbornness for insisting we maintain playing as we did with players who were not suited is naive and downright stupid. I can go on.

I’m still sour about the City jibes, still have a serious gripe with the ear cupping and short temper and most of serious doubts as to what he’s actually capable of with a full squad but I don’t believe the flavor of the week replacements are much better. Are we getting Inzaghi or Enrique with a £300m budget no. So if he actually wins our first trophy in how many years and return us to the CL Is it prudent to just get rid? I’m not sure
Oh the Irony. Yes mate that's exactly what we could have had. But we choose to tell Enrique to go away and gave Ange 300 million to spend on BJ,

The table doesnt lie.

We had never in my lifetime gone 1-3-6 in home PL matches. Never, not even in the relegation season or the worst that Gross could come up with. And I was born in 1959.

Our current form is:

one win in 9 (Saints)
2 in 10 (Ipswich)

That isn't just off the chart unacceptable, it's nailed on relegation form. About 20pts a season.

Anyone that looks with a dispassionate view at the table and the PL results - I can't see how there's any doubt whatsoever.

Sack him the day after the final or the open top bus parade if we win.

Venkat needs to have a shortlist of managerial targets on his desk that day. FFS most people on here could come up with a list where everyone would be better than AP.

You really think the manager “spends” the transfer budget in this club?
Don't waste your time Richard... BJ is crap (Ange's fault), Players getting injured (Ange's fault), We are embarrassing (Ange's fault), Local shop out of bread (Ange's fault), My car's broken down (Ange's fault). I want him gone... his football is flawed and we are likely in for another rough season with him at the helm unless we fuck up the Europa League final and have 40 games to play next season. Then he might do okay with a week's rest between games. But he is not solely the reason we are shit this season... it's not like he tells Lange to do one, pick up a suitcase full of cash and drives up the M1 to Nottingham coming back with BJ and no suitcase!!!

I don’t get why we are even discussing his future or even past right now anyway.

We have the second biggest game in 40 years coming up and he’s going to be the manager for that.

Fuck knows what happens after that.

Exactly.

The last 4 games in Europe we've put out 4 very good performances. He's got his tactics right and seems to have judged each game on the game itself, not the occasion which is what we need to do in the final.

Between today and the final we should all be on his side and rooting for the win, whatever happens come the summer.

I do need to have one minor gripe here, and that's to wonder why we don't see him try it in league games?

I'm delighted he's taken this approach to the knock out phase of the Europa (some of our league phase performances were decidedly average) but it's this pragmatism I'd like to have seen more of during league matches which would have seen us probably in the top half at least.

I agree with you. I don't know whether it's because the availability of his strongest defence or that he wants his main system to work so much he's being a bit stubborn.

With Vic, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven and Udogie we've played 20, winning 15. That's a huge factor in how we play. But you're right, he needs to learn to adjust across all 38 league games plus the cups.

Incredible. That's title contention form.

Have to wonder if the board/levy look to the finer details like that should Ange win the cup, when deciding if he should stay.

We have some pretty insecure winners, too.

Imagine, having just got into a cup final, the thing everyone agrees we need for this club, coming onto the internet to reiterate some bullshit you have said 200 times already just to make sure everyone knows you are right about something. '

Seriously if you're gonna spend your time today banging on about 'yeah so happy, but Ange can do one' please, in the nicest possible way - fuck off - you've had your time in the sun, let the grown ups enjoy the next couple of weeks.
When everyone else is enjoying the Sun, "those that know Football" are screaming that everyone's going to get skin cancer.

Pool have definitely been the best team this season and deserve their title.
It's very disappointing that Spurs are languishing in the bottom half of the table.
BUT
The question is, would you prefer Spurs to finish in the the top 4 of the League or would you prefer them to be in a Cup final?
