He dropped off alot after his united move didnt happen.
Roberto will know him well and what he is capable off. Also it will lower his price abit and make Brighton more happier to part ways.

We need a ball winner in there that can compete with the likes of caicedo, rice, rodri etc.

I know but it's no excuse. It shows he is a sulker and not serious about his club and teammates

The same happened with Muani who didn't want to be here. He wanted to go back to Juve last summer but somehow ended up here when that move was blocked

So hopefully Robertson, Senesi and Savinho will happen. That's a great start IMO.

I still think ENIC need to put their money where there mouth is and make a statement signing or two. I would love Wharton. Someone who would transform our midfield.

Dunno about great but it's a solid start for sure.

Next: GK (no 1), Striker, RW, CM who can make progressive passes please!

All this show is :

1 Xavi played with Savinho at PSV
2 Xavi would like Savinho to play with him at Spurs
3 Savingo wants to leave ManCity so it'll be easy to agree wages with him : assume that's done
4 Need to agree a fee with ManCity ...... but ManCity were asking £70m_ for him last year ...... and he's 'expensive' given goal contributions (or lack thereof) at even £50m and £40m isn't cheap either (just like Tel isn't cheap for goal contributions) , so ManCity need to drop their price a lot - and that's why Spurs are the only ones talking to City about Savinho

Will City drop their price for Savinho to a sensible level for their unwanted player ?

I think the general concensus is that after holding him last year and then just not using him, they will have to

Although I also think the general concensus forgets he also just signed a new contract

Yeah, and still our top assister with (by a distance) most chances created despite missing half the season. Kudus has his issues but I'd like to see what De Zerbi can do with him - he's only played under turds like Frank, Moyes and Lopetegui in the PL. Never seen him playing under an attacking coach.

One of the interesting things with buying Savinho (or a player like) is the effect itll have on the team dynamic, in particular Kudus, and maybe Maddison too

Kudus, played under an anti football monster, for just over half a season, was still one of the most productive players in the league

What happens to Kudus played under an actual football manager, where he will recieve the ball in the final 3rd more, in space more, and with more options to pass to?

Then.... how much MORE of that good stuff does he get if there is a proper winger on the opposite flank, activelt stretching a team, with them knowing he will take them on too?

I think its an exciting prospect

Especially when you factor in someone like Maddison at #10, a) having options to play too and b) being granted space to himself too....

I'm no longer a Baleba :mourshock: shocking numbers

What a monster Anderson is. Whichever team gets him is very very lucky
Baleba has never been anything other than ok. Anyone who pays stupid money for him is in for a shock. He doesn’t dominate games, goes missing, isn’t a goal threat, won’t make runs forward and doesn’t see out the 90 minutes a lot.
Anderson and Guimares are the two who can do the lot for me and we won’t be getting any of those.

Helps when the only game plan Frank had was give the ball to Kudus. I don't like his game at all, he's greedy, slows things down, and doesn't know when to pass the ball. It's not a priority for this summer, but if we see the same as last season, we need an upgrade there too.

I agree with the general criticisms of Kudus, bit of a headless chicken/head down merchant, holds the ball too long etc...

I think its fair

But, I also think Frank football basically exacerbated Kudus' worst qualities

"Give the ball to Kudus" was his only tactic. He was running the ball from our half constantly. He never had support or passing options - unless he beat 3 or 4 players first...

I firmly believe under RDZ that will be very different. He'll always have support and options, far more be 1 v 1 not 3 v 1, be recieving in the final 3rd more ....

He will still of course over play and frustrate at times, but he'll also be a far better player IMO

And if he can be our most productive player in the worst circumstance, Im interested what he can do in a far better situation

Kudus will be far more effective when the opposition aren't allowed to leave the whole of the left hand side open due to the levels of shite we served up there last season. Give him space and he'll thrive but he must stop the checking back so frequently.

Savinho will significantly improve us simply because we don’t even have a winger right now. Tel is more a second striker who can sort of play wide, Kudus and Odobert are injured and Moore is a 10/wide forward more than an out and out winger.

Low hanging fruit. Our defence is hard to improve as most players are 7/10 or 8/10 so you get less bang for your buck. Our attack is easy to improve as the players are either worse or not suitable for the role. So even though Savinho is a bit hit and miss just by being on the pitch he will instantly improve the balance of the team and that is massive in terms of constructing attacking phases. Savinho and Kudus on either side means opposition having to double up and go wide creating more space for players centrally.

We obviously need to get good quality players in attack and I think Savinho just about fits that. Kulusevski situation is unclear but having Savinho, Kudus, Maddison, Simons, Odobert, Moore, Tel for next season with De Zerbi coaching them all should give us a lot more than what we had this season.

Ive very mixed feelings on Savinho. Not against, but a little "meh" as well.

I think my hesitance is that he is yet another 'potential' player, in a squad already with Tel, Odobert, Bergvall, Gray, Souza....

Feels a bit like "do we need ANOTHER project?"

On the flip side, he is exactly the profile we need, a proper winger on the LW is something we have been screaming out for

On balance Id say I like it, but Im not super excited (yet)

You can see why Anderson gets so highly rated. Good across the board. Wharton with 20 through balls is wild.

Thats basically his game though, isnt it?

While he is excellent at it - its a very specific - and quite a narrow skill set

Something like this:

OUT
Vicario
Romero
Dragusin
Vuskovic (Loan)
Sousa (Loan)
Bissouma
Palinha
Bentancur/Sarr
Muani
Solomon
Richarlison
Moore (Loan)

IN
Back Up experienced keeper
Robertson
Senesi
Van Hecke
Scott/Baleba
Locatelli/Camara/Wharton
MGW
Akliouche
Savinho
Osimhen

I’ve been chewing it over and despite the heroics of the relegation battle, our midfield was a major reason for being in a relegation battle and the seniors need a complete shake up. I’m only keeping one of Sarr or Bentancur depending on who we get the best offer for.

He has to check back because he has about 4 players trying to stop him. Probably because as you said the left side is poor. If you have threats all over the front line you naturally create space

Completely unrealistic but I am IN

Yeah, while he's brainless at times and can hold onto the ball too long, he's literally one of the best 1v1 dribblers in Europe. With a functional system and an attacking coach, I think he'll be a very useful option to have in the squad. His ball retention alone makes him extremely useful - other teams just can't get it off him when he shields it.

Adama Traore flashback. :pochcry:
