This is where good managers have to get creative. Lots of players have been converted to midfielders. Poch did it with Dier. Howe did it with Joelinton. Pep did it with Lahm.

Maybe Kulusevski could play as a midfielder, maybe we could use Dier in that position again. We are going to have to find a solution from somewhere.

I was wondering the same thing. Has Kulu ever played in the midfield? In theory it sounds like a good idea but have no idea if he has ever even played there before.
 
given our recent injuries, hands up whis been in the back garden practising keep uppies in the hope of a phone call in an Italian accent?
 
Our players are more than capable of getting a good result but I fear that Conte, yet again is going to promote a brand of football that puts our shite defence under unnecessary amounts of pressure, whilst underutilising our greatest strengths further up the pitch.

Back four :
Royal (purely as we have no one else, Romero , lenglet ( CL gane May suit him more). Or Sanchez , davies (again there is no one else )
CM:
Skip Sarr
Kulu Kane danjama
Rich

Or play kulu in cm as number 10.
 
451 with an extra central midfielder and Richarlison up front.
Kane in front of Skipp and Sarr in central midfield, he spends enough time there anyway.
 
Devine and a couple more of the youngsters will be needed for this one now.
Doubt they will get any minutes though
 
Think we should probably start with a two man midfield of Skipp and Sarr but I wouldn’t mind pushing Kane back a bit and bring Richy ahead of him if the game calls for it.

Deki isn’t a bad shout either but I think I’d prefer Kane in that role.

This will finally let us know what Skipp is all about. For me he isnt good enough and i think we'll see that in his spell in the team. (I would be delighted to be proved wrong but i'm pretty sure I wont be) At least we will be able to move on one way or the other.

Jury is out on Sarr - but wouldn't be at all surprised for him to thrive and nail down a first team place.
