Adam Johnson Arrested

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

In the UK it's illegal, end of. Different countries have different laws and everyone is meant to adhere to those.
If you can't accept that over here it's illegal to groom an underage person and then have intercourse with them then maybe you shouldn't post anything about it.

I agree, but that wasn't my point. I find it intriguing that two very similar countries have such a different views on this. I tend to agree with the UK law personally.

Grooming a child isn't illegal in your country?

The age is not the point. 16 is the age of consent, he knew it and continued anyway. You let grooming fly who's to say he doesn't keep pushing the envelope? That's how a lot of paedophiles work.

It's about stopping these cunts in their tracks before worse happens.

Ian Watkins a prime example.

Not sure about the grooming laws, but 15 is the age of consent. As mentioned earlier we had a similar case with a politician as opposed to a footballer about 6 or 7 years back. Very different outcomes.

My personal view is that the punishment is fitting. My point was about the difference in law between two quite similar countries.

Surely thats not a pleasant thought regardless of age though?
No its not and people must be vigilant about what is happening around them and support those who have been violated. These sorts of crimes used to be a social stigma and swept under the carpet now its about victims rights and prosecuting the perpetrators! Its a real shame that Saville is not in the dock then sentences might be more harsher!

Dude knew he was doing something illegal, was knowing he was cheating on his wife, and subsequently it's been found he got friends to attack the victim on social media to intimidate her. He's also into animals, and fuck knows what else.

He's a nasty piece of work, and thoroughly deserves everything the law throws at him, and more.

He'll be on Celebrity Big brother in 2020, probably wanking off a pig with Katie Price.
Such is the nature of "celebrity" in the UK.
