I saw a lot of regression under Conte. The soul-destroying vampire told Kulu not to have fun.
Also, feel like players who are squad player level are now playing that role, instead of starting games like last season. Emerson, Hojbjerg, Perisic, Davies...good pros, good backups/subs. Upgrade Richy and Kulusevski to make them become bench players and we are rolling again.

There’s so much potential with this system. For me the priority right now should be to sign at least one quality 1v1 specialist winger. I still believe Richarlison will come good, and I thought he had a good 1st half before he lost his head in the 2nd. That needs to be fixed

I was all for binning off Perisic at the start of the window, but I'm enjoying this off the bench against tired legs thing with no defensive duties. I'd be disappointed to see him go now.

Do you think Sarr would have been playing if Maddison (who Conté at some point had asked for) wasn't playing? Sarr, Bassouma. And Maddison need each other to achieve what they do.
Look what Ange has been doing. He takes off Richie, moves Son to the middle, brings Perisic on the left. And brings on PEH. He has done it in the last two games. Why? Simple, Maddison without Sarr doesnt work as well, so gives Bassouma a little more room to roam and plays infront of our defence. This works well playing against an already tired team.
You cant just buy players because they are good or have potential. You have to do so with the managers game plan and style in mind. Fortunately our team requires minor tweaking and not a whole rebuild.
