History All Time 11 vs ManU All Time 11

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was a kid then but we had a load of players injured. Hoddle didn’t play I don’t think. Ossie might have been out as well. I just remember jumping about my best mate’s living room when Parks saved that penalty and his mum worrying about us breaking things in there and telling us to calm it down.
Yeah - Clemence and Hoddle were both out injured. Ardiles only recovered enough to be on the bench, Stevie Perryman was suspended. Makes you realise that losing Maddison, Kulusevski and Bergvall may not be that important if the rest of them are up for it. Our CBs scored the goals to win the UEFA cup in 1984

Garth Crooks was missing as well.

Clemence, Perryman, Hoddle, Ardiles, Crooks - some of these serious contenders for the all time Spurs XI - all missing and we still won. We should believe!

It's not really possible to pick a clear "best" XI among Spurs' all-time greats so I'll just select my candidates:

Jennings
Bale, Knowles
Vertonghen
King, Romero, Sol,
Walker, Perryman, Ramsey

Dembele, MacKay, Blanchflower
Modric,
Ardiles, Gascoigne, Hoddle, van de Vaart,

Ginola, Son,
Greaves, Kane, Klinsmann, Berbatov,
Waddle, Jones

If you are doing a "long list" what about White? Chivers? Bobby Smith? Mullery? Peters?

Never saw him but Bobby Smith played over 300 games, and his record is 2 goals per 3 games ... better percentage than Harry Kane, only second to Greaves in club history. He never gets a mention but he was a key part of the double side.
Funnily enough, Kane’s goal scoring rate trailed off sometime in his last 2 seasons with us as he had kept pace with Bobby Smith up until then.

Yes, but I still regard Greaves, Kane, Berbatov and Klinsmann is better CF than him (from the little I have seen of him). That does not make him any less of a player. But this is my opinion, of others think he's better than any of those I mentioned they are free to do so - and may be right about it.
