i think he is complete and utter dog shit. like pav, capable of the sublime (a bit more often) but mainly ridiculous.

for £28m i would be gutted if we signed him after what i've seen so far. he is not better than ade imo. no wonder tevez got the hump at city.
 
I'd agree he's not worth £28m and isn't as good as Adebayor. Sadly he's not as good as I remember him being in Germany either but he is improving. First touch seems to have gone to shit for some reason.
 
at the time he joined, that wouldn't be a completely ridiculous statement to make in all honesty, joined off the back of helping to knock England out of Euro 2008, had a great tournament as well.

However, now, there's absolutely no comparison between the 2. :lmao:
 
we did everything we could to get him and offered more than Woolwich eventually signed him for but Zenit played a game of chicken until we pulled out and then the only offer they had on the table was a lesser one than we had made and they had to sell for that.
 
Also, it's food for thought, because if we'd got Arshavin and kept Berbatov, Ramos might never have been sacked, Redknapp wouldn't have taken over, Pav, Adebayor and VdV wouldn't have joined.

I realise that Ramos was fairly inept and probably would've got the sack anyway.
