This philosophy is good but he has to be smarter.

Bielsa also had a good philosophy. Where did that get him?

But we've also played on the transition a lot this season and dropped our line deeper at times. So even he isn't dogmatically sticking to his philosophy.

It isn't his fault either. The board let him down this summer so he's trying to adapt. We aren't getting angeball under this ownership unless they do a 180 and give him the players he needs that are ready made to go right into the first team.
Let him down maybe but no denying he's been backed more then the previous 3 managers including serial winner conte which baffles me but hey ho he wanted johnson he wanted solanke

He definitely shares the blame for the transfers but we needed to improve the starting xi in the summer and it didn't happen.

We have to constantly evolve and freshen things up. We failed to do that and have fallen behind.

If you want Ange out, you're a straight up spineless cunt.
You know those clueless cunts on Woolwich TV that we all laugh at?.... that's you!!

Get behind him, or fuck off... and keep fucking off! It's a simple equation.

Ange has brought attacking football to us (at last). Give him the time to learn the EPL. We've proven we are capable of beating the best teams, we just need to give him (and a young team) more time to gel.
Klopp was given time.
Yes, of course Levy needs to get on board and support more financially, but please, let's not throw another manager under the bus!

more like Chaotic/Frantic football.

Levy had already spent 370M quid since last season - 3rd highest spender since 2022.
Loanee is on 170K /week & he doesn't start.

we are 6th on the Wage Bill as of 24/25 season.
Brentford is 1/3 our wage bill and they are sitting higher on the table.
Their squad value is probably 1/4 ours.

are u nuts?

Ange may hv brought "attacking football" but we seem to make the small clubs(brighton/fulham/wolves/B'mouth) look like Word Beaters - not only this season but also the previous.

💯 OUT!

This FAT AUSSIE FRAUD CUNT has badly let our Daniel Levy down. Levy and ENIC have supplied him with a squad of absolute ELITE players and this useless CUNT has ruined everything with his SUICIDAL HIGH LINE and NAIVE TACTICS.

The sooner we get rid so Levy can finally hire someone who will bring us the GLORY this ELITE TEAM deserves the better.

Universal acclaim as a genius?

"Ange Out because he's not Bielsa" is a take I can understand.

"Ange Out because he IS Bielsa" is total madness. How good to people think our other options are?
That's great for him but what did he win of any note?

Ange isn't really like Bielsa. Even he knows that he cant stick with his philosophy blindly. He actually is trying to adapt. We're playing on the transition more this year since we can't play high possession with these players. The problem is that our defensive shape isn't good.

I don't really know much about the other options or what type of fit they would be. But the current transfer strategy isn't a good fit for how Ange wants to play.

..defensive shape isn't good because - fullbacks inverting and out-verting up field most of the time
and CBs are regularly in the opposition's penalty box?

what kinda transfer strategy is good?
what is a good fit? fast sprinters with the ball? hot shots like Hasselbaink? dribblers not required? good at frantic football? slow midfielder holding up play or slowing down play so players can get in shape?

In for the rest of the season.
Want to see if he can win a cup for us. While we are still in contention for all cup competitions, I like to see them conclude that process first before making a decision.
Current league table position is disappointing but he should be given time to turn it around in the 2nd half.

If we crash out of the cups and fail to qualify for Europe, then happy to replace him at seasons end.
A change midseason isnt going to achieve that much imo.

Well, it would be a start to not sign players for vast amounts of money that

- do not want to be here (Lo Celso, Ndombelly)
- mid table journeymen with no history of success (Richarlison, Solanke)
- Relegation scrappers (Johnson, Odobert, Grey)
- Boot sale bargains (Werner, Solomon, Danjuma)

I selected 'undecided' because there's not a 'don't care' option. He could leave tomorrow or in May. I couldn't give a fuck.

He's not good enough at this level. He is poor at rotating the squad, which is part of the reason we've been saddled with injuries. He's incapable of change. Some of our players have regressed, some not pushed on. He's been out-thought by plenty of other managers to the point of looking clueless. He's fucking useless at inspiring the players during a game. He stands there, a grizzled statue of incompetence as we fall apart against supposedly lesser teams.

But I quite like it when we go balls out and win big. His football can be entertaining and I'll take it over the bland nothingness of Conte any day.

But, again, he's not good enough. Neither are some of the players he's been saddled with, or I suspect some of his coaching staff, or the recruitment team - and most certainly not their boss at the top.

I don't think sacking him will make much difference. We get someone else in and maybe we climb a place or two higher, but that's about it. I'll still be feeling disgruntled because it just won't be enough. The imbalance will remain, the squad shallow and always two or three signings short of pushing to compete for the biggest prizes.

And ever more shall all this be so while Levy is in charge.
I remember being enthralled when everything started falling apart last November against Chavs and even down to 9 men we kept going at the cunts. Probably the only derby defeat I ever came away still feeling good.

In retrospect, it doesn't seem brave as much as Ange just doesnt know how to do anything else.

We need to train and excel in all phases (not being able to defend a set piece has nothing to do with "philosophy" for instance) but I'm keen to stick with the fundamentals of Angeball.
Ange reminds me of AVB more than anything - a manager not up to this league, but whose philosophy is a piece of the greater solution.

We'd be good to find a manager that can retain the good of what Ange has started building, and add what it's clearly lacking.

His system is just incomplete - theres more to the game than what he sees/preaches. It works in leagues without the technical and tactical sophistication of the PL, but it will never work in the PL. Last September and October will be the highlight of his career.

Solanke is a good player for us. Odobert and gray is way too early to tell and havent been used. Agree with others

Solanke has been decent, but he's not an elite striker.

We have done nothing to improve the starting 11. Gray, Odobert, Bergvall, Werner, Yack. 85m spent on players that don't improve us. Throw in Phillips, Veliz, Spence for another 40m.

Clearly we are building for the future. Conte was the last roll of the dice to win something before Kane left and Son declined.

And yet Conte wasn’t properly backed.

Ironically this crop of players is suited to Conte. IMO.

Is the question regarding should he be allowed to sleep inside the house ? He’s definitely more of a dog than a cat and it always saddens me a little when I see a kennel outside of a property

Yes he’s been a naughty boy but on those rare occasions when he does look up at you eye to eye , you just couldn’t send him out especially this time of year
