Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ange can not play same style of attacking football at Spurs in the EPL. The opponents are of different class plus we don't have strong defence or mids, the wings are poor and the attack is hit and miss with Son, Richy and Kulu. That's why Conte and Jose played the so call boring football, we do not have the players.

Just listened to Gold's broadcast about our new manager. As usual he's disgustingly optimistic (doesn't he know this is Spurs!) about the appointment. You'd think Gold would allow for the shit-show of the last 23 years? My take on it is sure I'll back him and give him a chance to succeed, but as per usual Levy is always the spanner in the works, what will change this time around?
The ONLY way a manager/coach can be allowed to be successful at our joke of a club is if Levy changes his spots and steps back ENTIRELY from footballing matters. I'm clinging on to the slender chance that Scott Munn is given total control of the football side and that in turn Levy issues him a budget for each transfer window and stays away from any decisions relating to that fund. Surely Levy understands that his footballing input has resulted in our current trajectory of dropping like a stone in the league, not to mention never winning anything. He has smothered the club half to death.
If the narcissistic Levy can't do that then it won't matter who the manager is as we shall always be doomed to failure. We shall see.
If the club was sold tomorrow, to say a middle Eastern outfit, our fortunes would change dramatically.
Look at city, on the verge of a treble a unique achievement, what is our achievement, low carbon footprint because of the stadium.
Your right, no matter who is in charge under ENIC, are set up to struggle constantly.

Are we banned from making transfers or something, are we the only club in the entire Premier League where our players can't improve?

Or it’s an easy headline to pluck out your woolwich and get loads of interaction from Spurs
Yeah sure it's an easy one for lazy, incompetent journos. They know it'll get clicks and other ad-attracting reactions.

Doesn't mean there's no semblance of truth in it, though. I mean, come on...are blind you gotta be now as a Spurs fan to refuse acknowledging that Levy's model is just that: investing as little as possible but hoping for top results. He wants with Ange what he got with Poch. That's how there are still so many Poch-era players in the current squad. Either he genuinely thinks Dier, Davies & co are still good enough to compete at the top end...which would be utterly baffling...or he knows they are bang average but he doesn't care, he'll still task his 128th manager in 5 years to extract gold outta them.

You can actually imagine Levy coming to the conclusion that Ange might, just might, have some leads on future talent, that won't cost the earth.
And his reaction to this epiphany

Be like a 9 year old being the hardest kid in his school year by miles, and then sending him into the ring with a 21 year old pro fighter.
Incomparable scenarios. The 9 year old would be massacred and, tbh, I can see it with Spurs. I can see this poor fucker telling us to go out and play all this wonderful bonzaball (TM) and us getting torn to fucking shreds. Even Celtic didn't have the greatest defence compared to their attack and prior years.

This is a good breakdown from Flav Flav 's mate - a really good listen.

We really won’t. This will be a low spending summer, similar to the Jose Hojberg/Reguilon window. 60-70m net.

No way we spend big with no Europe. And nobody is paying big money for trash we don’t want.

The only way we spend big is if Kane goes. Once we’re done with paying the Kulu & Porro transfers the budget will be limited.
No way I'd give Juve more than 15 mil + 5 in bonuses for Kulu. The lad was as superb last year (small sample) as he's been dogshite this time round (big sample).

Or maybe we don't even buy him, and...I dunno...we use that money on a HG talent who's actually got pace? Just a thought...

O'Keefe who's pretty clued up believes we are looking to get rid of plenty this summer by any feasible option and believes if we can't find buyers for high earners like Lloris and Perisic then it's likely we just release them from their contracts (In the same way we did to Doherty)

Lloris and Perisic are on about 170k a week each. Fucking them both off ASAP would be pretty smart
You do realise you can't terminate a contract unilaterally, yeah?

Lloris, Perisic & co will only agree to it if you pay them a hefty fee...

...but we didn't have the players to play 'boring' defensive football cos all our best players are attacking ones!
Play to strengths I say....

Yes, our defence needs serious looking at... (Romero aside)
... but trying to convince the likes of Kane, Son, Kulu and Richie to mind their defensive duties first over providing an attacking outlet is never gonna work...
let them attack!!
... besides, I always thought attack WAS the best form of defence!
