Angeball is giving me whiplash. What a phenomenal result yesterday and don't let any of the pundits take anything away from us by saying "you have to remember this is City without Rodri".

Yeah? Well we were without our first choice centre backs, some important midfielders and forwards and we still thrashed City because we were brilliant.

Remember when we were called a "one man team" when we had Bale or Kane? I'm starting to think maybe City are a one man team.

I was fully Ange out two weeks ago - it was embarrassing and it hurt. Emotions aside, logic dictates there is a lot of good stuff going on here, the stats back it up and I'd say we all need to be patient and enjoy the journey as much as we can. I can see us winning something with this team, not now, but definitely in the not so distant future.

Oh wait. Pep is a super coach. We have to give him dispensation because he won the last 4 titles.
That’s right. When a manager’s done something that hasn’t been done in the whole history of English football, (that and also being the most successful manager in the club’s history by far) I’d say he has proven a lot and he can lose as many as 5 games in a row, especially considering that they’re 2nd in the league.

So you would still be backing Pep after 5 losses in a row?
I literally said about it in my previous post.
Spurs are 4 points off second place, and have a 9 goal better GD than Citeh.
This season they've only lost two in a row twice.
Yeah and we’ve lost 5 games out of 12. Guess for you it’s more important how many times we lose in a row? We lost 4 in a row last season btw.

5 loses in a row and they’re still currently ahead of us.
You and your Ange Out buddies really need to pull your heads out of your asses and start supporting the Manager, Players and Team.
Yeah sure, whatever you say buddy boy. Weren’t you mocking Postecoglou a few weeks ago? :gallashmm:

Fair play bro for changing your mind! Buckle up that seat belt and just enjoy the ride! Lets judge Ange in May

So how many games would Pep have to lose before you started asking for his head?

We just had a great win 4-0 away against the 4 times champions, and all you can come up with is negativity.

Hello.....

That says to me the defence is actually working and if our attacking players are on form we win
It's the opposite of that.

Spurs topped the Premier League scoring table before the game against City yesterday. The attacking players have generally been doing their job; despite the wasted opportunities that would have seen Spurs even further ahead, in this particular aspect of our play.

It is the individual mistakes of certain defenders, regarding the positions they take up, giving away possession and generally appearing to lack focus and concentration at key moments, for 90 minutes.

When Davinson Sanchez, Dier, Aurier and Hugo did similar, under previous managers, they were dug out for it.

We know who has been making the biggest percentage of these types of mistakes so far this season.

He is a favourite of many.

He wasn't missed yesterday as Spurs demolished the Premier League champions, of the last four seasons, in their own back yard.

Those who think Ange has been the problem should consider this going forward.

Ange has been loyal to this particular player.

This may prove to be the main mistake Ange has been making in my opinion.

I also suspect that the individual concerned believes himself to be too good for THFC. I fully expect him to fail to reciprocate the loyalty shown to him, by Ange or the Spurs supporters, in the weeks and months ahead.

Yeah hard to argue with that, it’s individual mistakes that have cost us! Even though Davies was faultless yesterday I think VDV should come straight back in but Dragu deserves to keep his spot, even more so if the noise about him not wanting to sign a new contract are true!
I think defensively Dragu is the better player , it’s just Romero is more confident having the ball.

Romero needs Spurs more than Spurs need Romero.

I have strongly disliked him since the red in the Champions League.

Somebody will have taken their young son or daughter to that game. It may have been that kid's first ever Spurs game. A game we could have won. A game we could still have won when Romero made the decision to make a dangerous and unnecessary tackle, on the half way line, because he was fed up.

How this joker is part of a 'leadership' group or anywhere near the captaincy is beyond me.

Spurs should cut their losses rather than extend his stay.

Because Pep lost 5 in a row, but he has won 4 consecutive league titles, Champions League and more. I’d say he has a lot of credit in the bank there.

Had he lost 5 in a row after a year of mediocre results, that’s another question. ;)

The guy has never remotely worked with the level of players we have. He is missing a few top ones like Rodri and they look a pale shadow, he would have a heart attack working with us. He is a genius but one I am not sure would ever be suited to our club with how we do things. Someone like Klopp or Slot fits the club better.

Hello.....

I’m sorry, be positive all you like but the point you’re making repeatedly is bollocks.

Yes, most football fans, I’d say roughly 99% of them would give Pep fucking guardola, winner of numerous champions leagues, premier leagues, Bundesliga, La Liga titles both as a player and as a coach more time and leeway after a bad string of results. Because he’s shown that he can win the big stuff time and time and time again. Sure you can question the difficulty of that given he’s always been at the biggest clubs, but to do to that consistently you still have to be a great “super” manager.

Ange has won a Scottish treble, which I’m sorry but isn’t at the same level as anything Pep has won, and leagues in Japan and Australia. They’re great achievements in their own right but they aren’t even in the same universe as the things Pep has won.

So yes, football fans would give more leeway to a person who has won the very top accolades time and time again, over a manager who has won some leagues but in competitions who would be blown away by the majority of other leagues. When you’ve won a certain amount, you’ve won more time. Ange can do the same by showing results over time like yesterday, but he has to build that faith first.

Tell people to support the team, manager, players more all you want and that’s fine, I’ll agree in a lot of cases, but to question if Pep had more credit in the bank to be given time over someone who hasn’t won an iota of what he has is nonsense comparison.

**editing this but leaving as is to say, this probably came across as needlessly aggressive in the first lines which wasn’t the intention, so apologies for framing it that way if it reads bad, but I do think it’s an utterly nonsense comparison.
