Can't believe people are saying that a 4-0 win away at the champions isn't that great a result. You're off your fucking heads.

They're in a very poor run of form right now, and their morale looks pretty much on the floor, but they're still second in the league, 4 times in a row champions and that was their first home loss in over 50 matches. 50. If you can't enjoy that win for the week why do you even bother supporting the club? If they were so shit everyone would be going up there and battering them. But they don't. It was a great result and performance from spurs on Saturday. Just fucking enjoy it man.

There's a poster in here I won't nasm who called Ange a fraud literally 3 hours after the result on Saturday.

This is the level of unhinged and clowness we are dealing with in here.

Dude, be real, they are has been's and will 100% get relegated this season. Haaland is a fraud, Foden clearly all hype, Silva a journeyman, Savio a joke and their bench is hilariously poor - lol they brought on KDB and Grealish, two of the worst PL players of all time.

We should be embarrassed we only scored 4 - Pathetic.
You know what, I just can't find anything to argue with there. In hindsight it was a shocking result and shows where we are as a club right now. Ange out.

In the neutral camp tbh.
When it clicks with us, it’s fantastic to watch. Anyone without a racing heart and elation during/ after Saturday is either dead or not a spurs fan.
But when it doesn’t click, the stubborn refusal to change things up sees the messes against Ipswich & Palace.
And the second half against Brighton…
I really want him to succeed & I know we won’t blow teams away every week, but the inconsistency is so marked between games that I’ve no idea whether we smash Fulham or have our pants pulled down.
It would be nice to grind out a point or 3 sometimes when things aren’t going so well

Spot on.....
Matt and the like are either actual gooners trolling this forum or they live in a permanent state of misery.....🤷‍♂️
I just don't get it. Sure, there's plenty to criticize the club on, and the current manager/squad. But I just don't understand the mindset after a result like that to still be coating everyone off. It's been our best result for a few years, certainly under the current manager and people are more concerned about being right and pushing their narrative. It's so weird to me. If you can't spend the week enjoying a result like that I just don't see why you even bother.

One of the interesting things Ange being manager of Spurs has taught me is that when he was a small child growing up in a new country “soccer” in Australia was commonly known as “wogball”.
The football clubs were a place of community for the immigrants. Not for most Aussie men.

Where as over here it was rare to see a black player in the 70s early 80s for Ange the average Aussie wasn’t interested in playing “soccer”. They wanted to put on tight shorts, sleeveless tops and run around a big cricket pitch playing some made up game nobody else plays.

We should be embracing this guy who loved English football culture and kept his copies of Roy of the Rovers into adulthood. He’s just a big football loving bloke.
Be good to see him succeed at our club.

Blimey. I grew up in NSW and haven't heard it called that in forever.

For those who don't know a wog in Oz is somebody from the Mediterranean. Being of Maltese descent I was very much a wog back in the day. Sandals with socks at school and everything. Pretty much everybody was in my area growing up.

Aussies were called skips.

Wogs had a unique accent back then and I used to laugh at my Maltese grandfather picking up the phone saying "Gday mate how are ya?" in a full aussie outback legend twang and immediately afterwards resorting to a thick Maltese accent.

Vaguely related here is what a wozzie sounded like for me growing up.

Back to regularly scheduled programming.

We are just never going to be serious under him. We’re going to be constantly under threat, constantly blowing leads, constantly placing ourselves into unnecessary danger.

“It’s just who we are mate”. An unserious club.

Brace Yourself Here We Go GIF by MOODMAN

Poor today, Roma were able to play that switch to their right nearly every single time and nothing was done to actually counter that. Also subs were made late again.

We're still awful at defending in our own box, I thought we were improving after the City game but the same inconsistencies remain.

Defensive shape is something that the coach is responsible for, there's really no excuse for it to be that bad. Constantly being caught out. Roma were literally playing the exact same ball to get in behind.

Not to mention the second goal. there were 3 Roma players waiting at the back post to tap it in.

Haven't learnt anything new from this game. We're still inconsistent and chaotic.

Our defending is a shambles at times

2nd Halves like this is why Ange gets some criticism.
We continued to play ourselves into trouble time and time again without changing tack.
If we would have hit a few longer balls into the forward players towards the end to turn their defence around we would have won that game but he is too stuck on his principles to adapt even to just see out a scrappy win
