They are great/good wins, not expected results. ultimately became must win games and also pointless because we drop points to Leicester, Brighton, Palace, Ipswich and Fulham.

We dropped most of them points with a next to fully fit squad and now we're 9 players out, so who's the mastermind behind that. Thinking we'll pick up points after the fact is just wishful thinking.

Well that's the point isn't it? You're citing the losses against those clubs saying we should be doing better, I'm citing the wins against those clubs saying that we overachieved in those matches, it works both ways.

That's kinda the point of a league table, it has us in the top 4/6 challenge, just because we lost to Ipswich and Palace doesn't mean we're not in that current challenge - the points and the league position are the only indicator of this, nothing else.

Cant lose to chelsea again. Its beyond embarrassing our record as it is. Players need to fight for shirt and fans thar game. I reckon romero and vdv will be back for that tbh. Cant play a patched up side or shirkers for that.

Worst case we could be 14th by this time next week.

I'm pretty sure we can write off the Chavs match, but you never know. Weirder things have happened. Can't think of any off the top of my head, mind.

Top of the table from some favourable fixtures and a new manager bounce is not being in a title race. It was top of the table until the wheels fell off. And then we were in a top 4 race. Which we fucked.

Hey don’t shoot the messenger.

Last January I was saying we were not in a title race. Mr Shady and others were saying we were - obviously not you.

But that was what was being discussed on here.

My own definition of the title race is from game 30 onwards. That’s the “race” as such.
Really anything before is jostling for position.

No because it's not sustainable.

The points we are dropping at home and away to bottom half teams will cost us......it means we have to go to places like Anfield, Stamford bridge to win and then beat them at home while also beating Woolwich and Newcastle and the like at home.

And now our injuries are mounting up to make it even less likely.

Who knows what the fuck is or isn't sustainable with this team at the moment, the only thing we know that this team is hella inconsistent and we don't know what results to expect from match to match.

So as I said until your doomsday scenario comes to fruition there's no point wetting yourself, all your doing is speculating based on how you currently feel, not with any logic whatsoever.

Obviously Richard A was on your side. Although he seemed to be of the opinion we are always in a mathematical title race.

There were others as well saying we were in a title race. Wasn’t just you.

Oh I said I was in a title race did I, that's news to me but okay then lmao

Edit - Actually I did say it but that was based on the table in January, I did say at the time that doesn't mean we were going to sustain it or win it!

I'm hoping I'll have fully written it off in my head before the game so I can at least enjoy pre match pints without bothering to have hope. Won't work though will it... no doubt a very miserable walk back down to seven sisters after!

loses the next 2 hes gone. very possible.
I suspect the Rangers game might be the most important. The club can see the direction of travel. We really don’t look like mounting a serious Top 4 challenge.

But progressing through Europa and going deep into the competition will save Ange.

If I had to bet, he’ll see out the season and will be replaced in the Summer. Wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with someone like Howe.

there were boos today, if we dont beat bournemouth and lose to chelsea the boos will be very loud. rangers are a pile of shit, it proves nothing, they are championship level. weve already proven in europe twice now that if we play a competent side we struggle.
