But we should just keep changing. It's more likely to yield some level of success than sticking with a manager that isn't working.
I would rather see us change every 18 months than stick with this nonsense for 2 to 3 years. We're going backwards.
We've been going backwards since 2019. Apart from a 2 month spell under Conte! If anything, Ange has steadied the backword movement and nearly has us going the other way now. Just lack the consistency. Despite losing Kane, Ange has us looking like a better all around team than we did under Mourinho, Conte and Nuno.

So again I'm just not getting the urgency and panic. We aren't any worse now then we were during the past 5 years!

He is not motivating our players though. We only show up once every few weeks.
I've been saying for a year that those 10 games have skewed an insanely average stint. He will never get close to rekindling those games in the PL. Not with us. Not with anyone.
He's done.
That might be the case , but the idea a new manager will turn our fortunes around is as we agree going to be down to luck. The team has about 2 players who could push for a place in a top 4 team . What is clear is the new manager will be expected to do it in an environment of a salary squeeze because that is obviously what is happening. So not enough players of quality , many needing to be replaced who we can’t shift, if by some miracle we do shift them we will try to replace them on cheaper salaries . That is our future imho

Turning water into wine is child’s play by comparison

Lmao based on what?

Fulham got smashed 4-1 at home to Wolves literally last week 🤣
This is exactly my point!

People are saying we should go after Silva, Iraola or someone of that type, but if they had similar results here to what they've been having (smashed by Wolves, beaten by Leicester and Brentford) then we'd also see the same people calling for their heads.

Whoever is manager, our fans have either expect us to win every game and will call for their head if we don't, or they'll be slamming them for any loss/wrong decision. Our expectations are not inline with where the squad is, and that's not on the manager.

Post MW10 last season, we won 12, lost 12 and drew 4. The draws were against a good City, a bad United, a bad Everton and a bad West Ham.
So really we dropped 6 points in those 4 draws and gained 1. Those 12 losses were against Wolves twice, Brighton, a massively injury ravaged Chelsea (twice), Fulham, Arse, a massively injury ravaged Newcastle, West Ham.

We are shite.

I also think we need to really look closer at our key wins since he arrived, the ones against the "good teams"

Liverpool last season. Against 9 men. When they had a perfectly good goal ruled out. And it needed 10 mins of time added on and an own goal to get it.
Man United last season and this season - ETH has gone because he's shit.
Villa away last season - half the match Vs 10 men, they were in Europe midweek and we weren't. This season they're fucked. Haven't won a game since at all since Oct 22nd
This season against City - look at the state of them. I said it when we started their run that they're toast. Even I didn't realise how bad a shape they were in. They won't get top 4 this season.

United have sacked their manager and are rapidly closing in on over taking us, despite us hammering them.
Forest, managed by a bloke none of you wanted, are ahead of us.
Brentford, who have spent next to no money, are level on points.
Chelsea, who you have all spent the last 18 months laughing at are miles better.
Liverpool, who made 1 signing this summer who hasn't even played, are winning the league.

We're shit. Proper. Shit.

Where have you been the last 5 years?

Changing manager every 18 months is what we've done, in fact Ange is the first one to complete a whole season since Poch. Tell me, how has that worked out?

He has not steadied the ship AT ALL.

I expect "stopped us going backwards, almost has us going forwards" 18 months in from managers appointed by Everton, not Spurs.

We've been slapped around our own gaff by Ipswich and Fulham in consecutive home games. Against Galatasaray we looked like Inverness coming up against Celtic. We weren't much better against Roma.

Yeah we were majestic against City and Villa. But flashes of brilliance amongst a majority of dross doesn't indicate progress to me.

The team is under performing led by a manager who is struggling to get anything out of them.

We're worse now, by miles, than we were under Conte. Probably even under Mourinho.
And fuck right off with the "but at least we're not boring" bullshit. Yesterday was boring. Ipswich was boring. Palace was boring. We were comprehensively destroyed against Galatasary, worst Spurs performance I've ever seen.
We would be better off to keep trying to strike gold than settling for a lemon.
It would also help to keep the players on their toes.

Whilst this maybe true, we dont have to like it. Therein lies the problem.

City and Villa, who are on 8+ game winless runs each.
We need to stop looking at those games as indicators of ourselves. They're worse than the likes of Fulham at this point in time. All we did was take advantage of it.

Asking Levy to continue doing what he has spectacularly failed with for 25 years does seem strange

And then blame the bald man for this club not progressing for doing exactly what this fanbase wanted him to do

I keep saying the biggest issue with this club isn't him, it's the fans but no one wants to have that conversation...

We are worse this season than we were last season. He’s showing himself to be stubborn and won’t adapt to situations.

I agree that we’ve gone from an over reliance on Kane to a better all round team, but we are going backwards. How much do you want us to regress before you come around to this guy being out of his depth?

We clearly - by our performances and his own words - don’t adapt to the opposition and we keep losing or dropping points in the same sort of games. You’d prepare for that, wouldn’t you? If you wanted to stop it being an issue.

He comments about entertainment rather than results. Of course the entertainment is important and ultimately results obtained like Jose and Conte did are unsustainable. But sometimes you need to just get across the line. Just two points stopped us getting CL last year. You’d think you’d learn every point is crucial.

We do not want to be playing full strength teams at the end of the EL campaign when we will be deep in the league, FA cup and hopefully the league cup semis. Injuries happen. That the same injuries/absences at the same time (both CBs) is unfortunate but also typical of a lack of depth. That’s on Lange/Levy, of course.

But this guy has been given huge swathes of cash to spend. And we are worse than we were last year.

He loses too many games. We have unbelievable highs at times, but they mean nothing if you then keep losing the next game an momentum.

Thinking about it we have once chance of turning things around maybe 26-27 season . Gray , Bergvall , Moore , Vuskovic and Yang Min Hyeok all become superstars .

More chance I win a Brad Pitt lookalike competition

I get it mate and every point you make here is spot on. Its probably debatable if we have gone backwards or forward as its hard to read our form giving the high ceiling and floor nature to each performance!

The one thing that does annoy me about Ange is his in game management. Even yesterday, Fulham killed 5 mins after the red card by doing a team huddle and then Leno went down with cramp. Dark Arts - every team does it bar us. Ange should have been all over the 4th official making sure that time was added on but he did nothing. Then the ref only adds on 7 mins (despite the game been stopped for 5 mins alone during the red card and there was also 2 goals). If that was any other big team then you can be sure that the manager is going crazy about the time waisting and atleast 11 or 12 mins gets added at the end. That extra 3/4 mins could be the difference between winning and drawing that game. How many last min goals do all the other top teams get at home? Thats the one piece of management that Ange is lacking for me. He's too nice.
