Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think the Rangers game is more relevant than Chelsea.

Chelsea, more than any other and now Newcastle away are our jinx side. We rarely touch them regardless of respective form, so tomorrow is a game that hardly heeds playing.

Thursday, against a side in a lesser league and zposrecpglou being the ex-Celtic manager is more indicative of where we are.

I think both games are losses and that is the pressure that is applied when you lose after being 2 up against Brighton and losing, then losing to winless Palace and Ipswich.

I don't believe Postecoglou is necessarily out of his depth but he may be out of time.
i see it differently. tomorrow is not a free shot for this idiot just because its chelsea, its our next biggest rival after the scum. we play in the premier league, not the scottish league, beating rangers proves fuck all, they are championship level. hes judged on beating teams in this league of which hes drowning. we dont play teams as poor as rangers every week and when we do play them they mean nothing, you dont win anything beating that level of opponents, to win stuff you actually need to beat good sides consistently.

Rangers won the league the year before Ange took over but it's the only one Celtic didn't win in over a decade.
My apologies I thought that was the year he took over they failed to win it when he replaced the 40% win rate manager.

So it was 20/21 they failed to win it? So 19/20 they won it and then age won it again in 21/22? I stand corrected if that’s the case.

My overall point still remains though that it’s essentially a given that Celtic win the league and do the treble over the last decade.

Agree, chelsea is bigger than the rangers game.

I came on this site when Spurs were considering signing Angi to warn you against it....

"Just a word to those of you looking forward to Angie as your manager.......
....... If you want to judge Angie's quality as a manager, you can't look to his accomplishments in a bigoted Scotland or in a Japanese league, judge his tactics when Celtic play European opposition ......
..... Celtics results in Europe are embarrassing and Angie's tactics are naive - even against teams who aren't in the top leagues.
At best, Angie's managerial skills are at a mid Championship league level and that's pushing it.
....... Ange, to make a long story short is - sh*te!"

And what did I get for trying to do you a favour - fuckin' dog's abuse .... then again, it wasn't quite as bad as calling me 'a fat cunt'. LMFAO

So, based on the appeciatiation I got for giving you advice that turned out to be true, I'd say, along with karma, you got what you fuckin deserve, didn't yi!

cheerio!
Fuck off ya knacker

You're not even intelligent enough to be a clown. Best you could hope for is the fluffer who gets to wank off the lions before they get out into the big top, you fucking six-fingered cretin.
Yeah alright Dickarlison.

Ange really turned Celtic round from all their decades of ridiculous win ratios from shite managers who have done fuck all anywhere else in world football worthy of note.

Ange turned them around because their caretaker manager lost 2 games and drew once against Rangers in 10 games after Neil Lennon fucked off.

For the record, here's Neil's managerial record.

He must only be a really good manager at Celtic for some weird reason.

Bang on. Yet you have so many Spurs fans willing to put their faith in him, for no reason.

The more worrying aspect in all this isn't Ange, he'll be gone soon. It's the powers that be at Spurs who decided to appoint Ange. Why did they go for him? Because he was an easy hire and available and cheap is my assumption, and yes he played attacking football.

There was no way Ange was on the original list that the club drew up when Conte left. I seriously can't believe the club decided Ange, a 60 year old aussie who only won in backwater leagues, was the man to take us to glory. That we even considered a manager who is managing in Scotland is shocking.

What a disastrous decision.

It will be potter. No compo for levy.

Potter would be a poor choice IMO. Brighton's improvement post Potter shows he actually wasn't all that amazing, and his football particuarly attacking wise is not good at all.

We really need to stop hiring Chelsea rejects. Its almost like Levy has an obsession with hiring ex Chelsea managers in the hope they do a better job here and he can stick two fingers up at them.

That said, if he came, I'd have to support him until he proves otherwise.

Correct. And as I previously said in the thread it was renamed the Scottish Premiership in 2013, there's only been one season that Celtic didn't win the title since then, that was 20/21 when I think under Gerrard Rangers one. Ange joined Celtic the following season and continued the general winning trend.

The point is over the past decade or so, Celtic have more or less ruled the roost and been the best team with the best players. So it's a lot easier to manage Celtic and be successful than to do so with Spurs.

Like I said vagsplash, the fact that Ange did better than all the other managers at Celtic since 2009 doesn't mean that he's shit just because it was at Celtic.

You might be right that he's shit just because he did it at Celtic but you didn't need your gay little table of previous managers to say that. But you wouldn't understand that because you didn't finish your GCSE's.

Can’t disagree with anything you have said. The evidence really speaks for itself.

Potter is awful at coaching an attack. He can never get his teams to score goals.

That's one thing that Ange is good at.

I don't want him. I dont watch a lot of football from other countries so I wouldnt know who the next up and comers are. The only name people mention from our league is iraola.
