Errr, yeah I’m sure he was being entirely serous saying that being a football manager is the hardest job in the world if you ignore how on numerous occasions in the past he’s spoken about how he talks to players about how privileged we (meaning him and the players) are to be doing what they’re doing and how real pressure is people who have to work 50+ hr weeks to put food on their families tables, not those lucky enough to play football for a living.

It was clearly a tongue in cheek comment, delivered in his usual dry and droll manner.
No!

Everything he says must be taken literally!

We will not have the evils of sarcasm and tongue in cheek humour cast a shadow over this forum!

Did you watch the video of him saying it? He was deadly serious I don’t know how you can take it any other way, it wasn’t his usual tongue in cheek comment at all.

My god, the level of denial.

I am perfectly happy and chill, was a great game of football, just more dull deflection yet again, you really have to try harder mate lol,

Take your own advice and do everybody a favour Shady, you’re boring and have nothing of substance to offer.

I don't think you are happy, it seems like your focus is on one-upping me as opposed to the team who apparently support win a football match and get through to a semi final, something to celebrate 💪

What do you think of the result, are you happy?

Like he said , if we can get through this period with no more injuries and be in a decent position then there is a lot of upside , young guys getting a lot of footy and confidence from it , and some players understanding better what he wants .
Personally I think the future is reasonably bright , the only rider is that Levy has to hang his badge on him and get a couple of ready made players in to strengthen us .

Great interview.

I dont think our style of play is as rigid as what some make out. Personally theirs no way Ange wants Bissouma going back to the keeper for eg from where he was. I just wish our guys would make better decisions. Is Ange reallt going to go nuts if Forster just boots up the field? I think our players need to be smarter.
It's a myth that keeps getting perpetrated by design, we certainly have one philosophy (as all great managers do), but we have made small tweaks since we've had players out. Forster goes long way more than Vicario does firstly (tonight obviously he had a mare).

In the eight games since we smashed City, lost Vicario and started playing without our two CB's, we've had more possession than our opponents in 4/8 (Fulham, Bournemouth, Southampton Rangers), at an average of 51.3%. In the eight games previously when Vicario, Romero, VDV all played (excluding those they didn't), we out-possessed our opponents in 6/8 games (only ones we didn't were the City cup game and Brentford at home) at an average of 54.9%. Granted part of that is having an inferior level of players who aren't as good at keeping it, but I feel like we are noticeably quicker to try and move it into the midfield and the amount of direct passes has increased.

To be fair I think saw the best of both regarding his team, scored 4 good goals from being on the front and causing Utd problems.

But at the same time we conceded 3 because we lost control let them back into it.

The other week he said he didn’t want us passing the ball back to the keeper at all.

He is right about one thing...

Can you imagine the squealling from the pundits if Liverpool or Woolwich had 10 players out?!

We hear hardly anything in mitigation about our injuries.

FFS, they don't stop harping on about one injury with City!

Of course we lost control, look at our bench lol

And they ended up bringing on Amad, Zirkzee, Mainoo and Garnacho to turn the match
