of course you can blame the injuries, last year eddie howe got a huge amount of injury sympathy and everybody set aside his results when they dropped down to 11th

the idea there was that everything would get back to normal when the team got players back
Howe was doing better for longer before the injuries. We had a ten-game streak at the start of last season and then results hit a downturn. The injuries are a convenient excuse for a system that can't be maintained in the Prem (or with this squad).

I’m officially Ange out. I have defended him over and over but I can’t anymore. No excuse for this team to not score more goals against bottom side teams and win.

This season feels worse than the season when Conte had a meltdown and we ended up with Stellini and Mason on 8th. Can’t give a fuck if we win, draw or lose as long as this fucking clown is in charge.

And what’s worse is that we’re probably going to go with the worst option to replace this clown because Levy is an entire circus.
I think that season there felt like some sort of consensus from the whole fanbase and even the club, that what we were seeing (Those last few months in particular) was not acceptable and there needed something to be done. This last 7 months it's felt like you're in a Twilight Zone episode. You look at how we're performing in regards to results and you look around and don't see or hear the urgency for improvement. Just keep going, trust the process and all that. It's just so maddening.

Am I wrong to think that this was as flexible and compromising as he has ever been?

There's no excuse for how toothless we were in transition in the 2nd half, but out of possession we weren't mindlessly running at opposition at the expense of leaving huge gaps between the lines like we usually do. We didn't even park the bus, as they had only one half chance. One that went in thanks to a combination of great finishing and lacklustre goalkeeping.

He looked like your typical desperate manager who's feeling the heat, just trying to grind out a result by any means necessary.Turns out he doesn't actually lack common sense, but just refuses to use it because he's more worried about going for moral victories instead of actual ones that are won on the pitch.

Make of that what you will

if he gets sacked i want the record to show that he didn't get to execute his plan properly with a normal amount of luck

both seasons had been derailed by injury

the ange in the alternate universe 8304B, the one where the chelsea game went to plan last year and ended 3-1, well that ange's tottenham rides the wave for longer, mounts a semi serious title challenge and finishes a closer 3rd

that ange would have been backed stronger with champions league power
Oh 8304B that's the one where I'm being held as Margot Robbies sex slave and Michale Goves your top. If only huh those sliding doors moments that could made it all work.

Commentator in dippers games just mentioned work ethic of pool players. I’m sure some of their players have played more minutes than ours and at higher intensity and tougher oppo. Yet Ange is moaning about some of our players having to dip into their reserves. Ffs they are professional sportsmen and his pre season was meant to condition the players for the long season. In fact many on here were boasting about the pre season training how it would stand them in good stead later on.
