I'll say this for the ex-Dortmund guy (who only came to my attention via you cunts)

He's available, right now.

He learned his trade under Klopp (right?)

Managed in a big league and had a pretty good go in the Champions League, getting to the final.

Some people may say the 'Spursy' bollocks, with him losing the league title on the last day and losing the champions league final. I say that there is an obviously talented young manager who will be keen to prove he can go one better than being runner-up.

Get him in. He'll be no worse than Ange and if he's a continuation of this car crash, bin him in the summer and move for Iraloa or Silva.

Ange needs to be gone tomorrow morning and his replacement hired in the afternoon. Terzic is worth a go to start immediately and with a January window about to open where we can buy 1 or 2 players for the first XI, to give us that boost that Kulusevski and Bentancur did when Conte took over mid season.

Solanke gets minimal service and has to run around like a mad man every 3 days. I imagine he is absolutely exhausted. He isn’t the most clinical but he’s been one of our better players this season. A half decent manager, a good winger and a bit of rest and he will look every bit of his transfer fee.

The worst part of a shit season is even the good players start catching strays.

The lack of service to Solanke is maddening.

Not exactly end of the rainbow stuff by Ange. Thrashed bottom club southampton and beat a hapless man united....just. And nearly fucked that up as well.
Didn’t say it was and if I was chairman he would have gone after the capitulation against Chelsea. But if I was chairman I would have had my Director of Football negotiating to sign a keeper to sign on the 01/01 but that is because as shit as my knowledge of football is I reckon it is better than the Dr Evil clone that runs Spurs.

He's young and I see he moved between scouting, assistant, technical director, first team coach roles which makes me wonder if maybe he wouldn't be offended if we offered him a temporary position until summer. Who knows, if he impressed we could get him to sign proper. Or not.
I'd take someone like that as interim all day if at all possible to make such deal.
And especially as his tactical pedantry seems to be made for cup football.

We could just offer him a two year deal with the incentive of an extension triggered in the summer if xyz is achieved. If it turns out he's a myth, then he gets fired in the summer and gets an 18 month payoff, which would be peanuts compared to what we piss away on dud signings.

Ange needs to go and this seems like the best move to make in the short term, with some potential upside. So maybe the rumour about him being approached is true, it does make sense right now.

Those who
Ange has been backed enough to get better results than this.

Even when healthy, the defense is shaky at best. To start the year people on here raved about Udogie, VvD, Romero, Bentancur and all have regressed this season.

Spence has been our best surprise player and Ange refused to play him until he was forced to.

If we are going to drop points, at least do it giving minutes to future players like Bergvall, Gray in his correct position, Spence, etc. instead we move players out of position and refuse to use academy guys.

Defensive stats with VDV and Romero in the early part of the season were close to league-leading I recall.

Postecoglu is actually doing some of the stuff people called for: attacking football, taking the cups/Europe seriously (remember all those complaints under Poch through to Conte about rotating players for the cups) .

So now we have a manager who rotates less, asks his players to press high, but we are seeing that we still just don't have the squad to cope. So we see injuries, fatigue and worsening performances. That will all improve if and when we get reinforcements, and/or less fixture congestion.

Personally I think it would be a big error to let Levy off the hook by letting him scapegoat another manager. Those who disagree, what's the plan? Who is next up? And why will they fare any better under Levy?

My point was/is those clubs mentioned are performing better than we are with a "lesser" squad of players because they have managers who know how to manage what's in front of them.
Fair point, and I agree.
However, the original post was making the point that we could bag some elite signings, by offering serious money, and maybe we could also bag a genuinely elite manager. It's all speculative, but just imagine if we were amongst the serious players in the league, instead of the usual few.

Not sure I said that as it doesn't sound like something I would post? But happy to be proven wrong.
