I’m assuming we may not beat Everton but if we don’t win and then beat Leicester and Brentford with players back, we are fine

Spot on.
I don't see how any player in this squad could look at the way he's treated
- Udogie (serious injury and operation just before the season, but forced to play every minute despite a perfectly able substitute in Djed Spence on the bench, but was exiled to Siberia for no apparent reason. Reguilon also available, useful part of United and Brentford's squads last year). But no, Udogie plays every minute despite clearly not being fit, and his performances suffer. And now another serious injury. Career posssibly threatened.
- VDV. Three hamstrings in a season. Possibly already Sessegnon'd. Could have been an all-timer centre back, but now possibly sacrificed his career on the altar of mate-ball.
- Romero, Werner, Davies - all hamstrings.
- known for hamstring injuries at Celtic too.
- same injury crisis last year.
- Romero and VDV rushed back early to save Ange's arse in the Chelsea game only for both to be injured.
Why would anyone sacrifice their career for this man who clearly cares not one iota for the health of his players?
FairI appreciate your good spirited reply and your knowledge of Marcus Aurelius. We'll just have to continue to agree to disagree on our takes on Ange.
You’d think this was a very simple thing for people to understand.Oh come on...
The manager doesn't set out to injure the players. That's just silly.
He would have had the green light from Romero, VDV and the medical team when he played them both and they broke down again.
You're not going to force a player to play injured if they don't want to.
Ange has done plently wrong but lets not start making shit up about him not caring about injuring players.
It would genuinely be sad, not just for our own sunk costs in their contracts and transfers, but on a footballing level, if their careers were cut short by injuries from trying too hard to make Ange's insane system work.I worry the damage has already been done to some of those players and they may never recover. VDV and Udogie specifically

No you aren't- I thought you guys were at each other's throats lately? We're actually starting a podcast together called the ok fee hit podcast, feel free to join.
When has John ever pretended to be 'ok' on this board?
“There has been ‘𝐍𝐎 𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍’ that the Everton game has become a do-or-die scenario for Ange Postecoglou’s job.
Spurs are now trying to prove that Postecoglou will not be undermined and that the squad can no longer sit around and wait for the manager to be sacked when they fail to perform or step out of line.
There is recognition internally that some of Ange’s more experienced players have let him down so far this season”

Different managers have different approaches when it comes to intensity and training methods. Do you not remember the criticism Conte came in for when he ran the players to death on that pre-season tour. He was luckier with injuries than Ange. From the Daily Record on 10th December 2021:
Asked if he would temper the training and playing style to protect his players from injury, he added: “No, it’s not possible. It’s a by-product of the team we want to be and it’s part of the process.
"I’ve been through it a number of times with teams I’ve taken over and the initial process is always difficult.
“Games are coming thick and fast, but that’s the level we want to be at.
