Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Look at Leicester's line up from the game and say how many of those players would make it into our squad.
They're playing guys like Winks. They have a brand new manager. They lost 7 games in a row.

Ange is so fucking dumb that he never learns anything. Never adapt. No survival skills. And every time he fucks up, it's because some players happened to be injured.

And when most players are fit, there is always another excuse.

Even if we go up by one or two goals, we're still unable to see the game out because we keep playing the same way no matter the score.

Funny thing is that Ange is apparently not even present at the trainings. What does he actually bring other than a shitty system?

We're the 2nd highest scorers in the league. The commentary last night was priceless, they genuinely couldn't understand how the 2nd highest scorers in the league are 15th!
What we need is a system of play....I actually believe that we have a team that can challenge for major honours. If they are actually managed. Solanke doesn't fit Ange's way of playing....but bring in someone who can actually manage a game and we'd see huge improvement.
50% more thought put into our defense and we wouldn't be in this position , you can't simply ignore the basics of football , well you can as we are finding out but our situation is the result .
This has always been in Ange's hands , just a bit of pragmatism would see a lot less criticism toward him .
Sometimes you just have to tell yourself to stop digging and put a bit back .

You have to wonder why Ange is so 'unlucky' with injuries. And even if it's down to just bad luck, why can't he adapt?

Bournemouth has a lot of injuries too yet they aren't struggling. But they should struggle more than us because they don't have as good a squad. The difference is their manager.

Put Ange in Bournemouth and they would struggle too. The AngeIn guys, who seem to support the manager more than the club, would be insisting that it was only due to injuries and bad luck.

To Americanize this, you are making a comparison between a RB coach at an SEC powerhouse who everyone knows is just there to recruit players and has never shown any path upward to a coordinator or a head coaching job versus a decorated champion at D2 or D3 who has never been at a big time school.

The D2 guy may be utterly and transparently out of his depth when given a major job, and sure, maybe that's Ange. But that guy is a real coach and the recruiting ace isn't, and would do much worse still in a head job without enormous support.

If anybody thought Mason were a real coach he'd be in League One by now.

It's possible Ange could relegate us, but I doubt it, he's never shown anything close to that with anything close to a full team. Mason really could though.
That was a forced and butchered analogy.

If you want to make an analogy to American football, Mason's profile isn't that far off from Dan Campbell. Journeyman player in the best league for a decade. Afterwards he worked as a coach and assistant head coach for many years, which included a stint as interim head coach.

Ange has more of a profile of Marc Trestman (but not even that much applicable experience to be fair), a coach who was hired based primarily on experience in an inferior league who was promoted way beyond his station and is failing as many expected him to.

I think Mason actually has the ability to organise a defence. After working under Mourinho, Nuno and Conte he should, if he's not stupid, which I think he isn't. So the combination of the last 5 coaches he's been working with (ok maybe 4, but at least he played under Pochettino) should have given him enough experience to be able to create more than a plan A.

Edit: didn't remember when I wrote this answer who Mason was supposed to be better than. Thought it was Ange, turns out it was Benitez. Ok, I just don't like Benitez.

It would be a nightmare if he takes over and in the first press conference he says “We attack without looking back. That’s how we play mate.”

Scoring is a huge issue for this team at the moment. Our stats are massively flattered by a handful of high scoring games
Yeah I've been the one the point that out numerous times.

But defending as a team was, is and will continue to be a bigger problem.
It isn't about getting the two CBs back either. This is a total lack of practice in training. We look in immediate threat every single time we lose possession, no matter where on the pitch that happens.

Same so-called ITK who misread his "secret" info about Angelos has now corrected it

Levy, Munn and Lange all need to go once AngeLOSS the bad tooth has been extracted.

The fact these idiots seem to have been fooled into thinking this is because of of injuries and that the injuries aren't because of THIS shows they're not fit to be in a position of authority at a football club.

So many of you set yourselves up for disappointment last night based on the most Spurious ITK ever.

I’m genuinely confused now though. Levy of old would’ve sacked him a month ago. If they stick with him, get him a (good) player, and we somehow come out the other side of this, I’ll have to admit the club (and Levy) will have changed some of my opinions of them.

I get that 90% of this forum have already decided it’s not possible for Ange to come out the other side of this and I’m not going to try and persuade anyone otherwise. That’s on Ange and the team to do that, not me.

Edit: Shoutout Ali Gold btw. That was a very well-written piece that covered the whole deal very well in very few words
