If we lose to Brentford, which I think most all would agree is likely, it will be 1 point from 8 games.

Presumably, back in 2008, all of the Ange-inners were clamouring for Juande Ramos to be given more time? He had won us a cup after all, and was in the middle of a painful rebuild having had Keane and Berbatov sold from under him?

With the TW shut at the time too, clearly there was no way a new manager could come in and do better immediately.
Fuck, I remember thinking Ramos was going to transform the club when he came in. Still have a soft spot for him because he seemed like a nice bloke and won us a trophy.

This shit reminds me of watching Leeds under Bielsa. Remember thinking just how stupid and naive that team was - apace everywhere, people caught up the pitch constantly and always at their most fragile when up the pitch. Its happening every single game with Ange and its arrogant to think it will work now. This arrogance will relegate us if it continues.
I am shocked hes still there this morning.

Season Leicester got relegated recently they managed 1 point between MW23-30.

That’s our benchmark. And I honestly thought we would get that point yesterday.

The stadium is only going to get worse. I know what our fans are like. That pressure is going to weigh on this group of players.

So away form needs to be our saving grace.
3 away wins this season. Soton in Dec, City in November, United in September.

So now we are effectively hoping for one away win per month in feb, March and April. Maybe one in May if we really need it.

This is actually quite exciting isn’t it.

Like getting on a rollercoaster and realising that your seatbelt things not properly done up as you start going up the big slope.

He cannot organise a team. I assume where ever he has been he has his Assistants do the majority of the lifting when it comes to coaching and we have given him Bert and Earnie to coach his player and talk about team shape.

Ange is just there to tell everyone a bed time story about his relationship with his father.
His coaching staff are seemingly left to fend for themselves. And at this point you have to question what instructions he gives them or if he meddles if they try to show some intiative themselves.

Like, Wells has been an assistant under Scott Parker for years before he came back to Spurs. He should if anything know how to set up a defence.

Benitez would be a great shout until the end of the season. If nothing else, for the way he conducts himself. Zero bullshit. No more dispiriting gaslighting from the Ramsay Street dosser.

He claims he learned his football from Puskas. I reckon it was Toadfish Rebecchi.
And Benitez is a meticulous planner. If he gets offered it interim he'll still show up with a plan in his back pocket to bounce back up if we end up going down. Just in case.

Even when players start coming back from injury I don't feel confident about results improving. The players closest to a return according to this are Romero, Van de Ven and Spence. Good players of course, but we've also got real issues in attack right now. Solanke isn't back until March, Richarlison definitely can't do 2 games a week and Son has been poor, but if you stick him up front he'll be even worse.

Sorry, you had me double checking the fixtures, and what I'd typed, for a moment...

Brentford ought to be ashamed of themselves if they come away from that fixture without at least one point. The draw would leave us on the infamous 2 points from 8 games, maybe those flashbacks would trigger Levy into action...
A few years ago maybe. But after this debacle I honestly don’t know anymore with him and his thought process,it’s like he’s just sticking his head in the sand thinking it’ll get better,it won’t it’s completely done.

Honestly, if he isn’t sacked today then I'm done with this season. Just shows we aren’t being run as a serious football club.

This totally ridiculous narrative about how players retuning from injury will somehow show us to be a top team shouldn’t be indulged.

Does anyone think we aren’t going to get more injuries this season even if a few players get fit again? Example- Richarlison comes back only for Solanke to get injured. Then Richarlison gets injured again and so on.

As far as I can see, Ange seems to be pinning his hopes on an out of sorts Romero and injury prone VDV to somehow turn things around.
With a fully fit squad we have what? 19 actual outfield players, Fucking abysmal. Filling out your squad with 5 keepers is no strategy for a proper competitive club. The players coming back from injury are as likely as not to break down again. Then what ?

You would wonder does he sit in the canteen all week when everyone else is out training and then the morning of the match ask the coaching team who is fit and then picks the team.

It's so strange all this they are not sacking him but not even backing him. How it's all been timed is unreal with the transfer window cup semi final 2nd leg and an F.A cup game. And the other point I want to make is how long are these players injured for it's absolutely ridiculous.

Talk about throwing the season away..... I knew 100% at Galatasaray he was out of depth and he should have been sacked after Ipswich game.

Keeping him now makes no sense whatsoever.

Our midfield gets ran through consistently when we get turned over cos our 8 and 10 push up so high leaving the 6 so much ground to cover and always a huge decision to make that if he gets it wrong opposition usually punishes us....it's mental. Look at the 2nd goal, Sarr is basically a CF has to sprint all the way back seconds after he sprinted up the pitch to be there. Happens all the time...and we wonder why we can't keep the ball.

Look how many times he hooked both midfielders at half time last season.... happened to Bissouma, Bentancur, PEH, Sarr, Skipp, Maddison... every single midfielder at the club.

This geezer is killing us.
Spot on and the fact the board still have this clown in charge shows how little they know about football

Timed for the 2nd leg so when we inevitably get battered and Ange gets sacked, the new manager can't demand money to be spent right away.

ENIC are a cancer on this club.

He is reportedly quite hands off and based on video and pictures either just sits by the sideline and observes the training. Or walks about. But he leaves all the sessions to the coaches.

This works if you have a long standing coaching staff that knows how you want to play and how to implement it. Like Poch or Jose. But given that Ange put together a wholly new staff when coming here you'd figure that he would be more involved since he has to implement it with the coaches just as much as the players.

I'll be amazed if we win another league game this season.

I HATE Levy. Hate him worse than having a tube shoved down me knob when I was getting kidney stones sorted.

I don't hate Ange. I want him gone because he's in over his head and shite, but I do feel somewhat sorry for him too. Hung out to dry by the bald lizard, and completely fucked over.

I can agree with all of this, even the bit about the tube down the nob! I had to apologise to the nurse afterwards for all the swearing. Got a feeling she had heard it all before!
