It's becoming eminently clear this man is a pub level manager, who doesn't think deeply about this sport one iota. He'd be on a building site if he wasn't involved in the game. He's a charlatan of the highest order. And is absolutely sinking this club right now, and has hoodwinked half the fanbase in the process
This has happened before at Spurs with Gross under Sugar.

The rhetoric about Ange is now becoming personal and an embellishment of the truth.

Ange is uncompromising and unorthodox. When the team were initially winning back to back games and unbeaten in ten games this was perceived as a strength.

I wasn't enthused by Ange when he arrived but my son had bought into the whole thing and he told me the wingers were the key to the whole thing working.

Ange wants wingers who are rapid, can beat their man and get the ball into the box.

This type of winger has never been provided for the manager, apart from Odebert, and he was probably not Ange's preferred option.

Son and Brennan have been the mainstays in these key positions for Ange's tactics to work.

Ange's tactics have worked at times despite him not having what he required.

Several decent sides have been despatched with ease, in multi goal batterings, at home and away.

His methods can and have worked.

However; Ange's credibility is now done because of the amount of games he has lost and the manner in which the team have been giving away easy chances and goals to teams Spurs should be beating; even with the injuries they have currently.

Leicester had scored 2 goals in their previous 7 games which were all defeats.

They scored 2 goals in 4 minutes, against Spurs on Sunday, and then held that lead for 40 minutes.

Ange will be sacked because he has become a dead man walking. It will happen after the window closes because that will be cheaper.

The season is dead and this isn't the first time that has happened under these owners.

Nothing changes until that changes.

People say we lose to “anyone organized” I don’t really see any pattern other than our own energy levels. We’ve beaten and been beaten by all different types of team. From Liverpool and City to Leicester and Southampton.

The only real pattern I see is that we play a high risk, high reward style that relies on physical domination. When we can’t dominate the front third with our press and give the ball away with sloppy passes, we look way too easy to play through. When we can dominate teams physically, we suffocate them and give up very very little.

In practice there’s really not a lot difference to the way city play and the issues they had this season when they struggled physically.

Well there's one team we consistently cannot beat and I would say we've never looked like beating under Ange and it's the Arse. This season (so far, despite their defensive injuries) and the last, they've have had the best defensive record in the league. Arteta is just as obsessed about organization as Ange is about physical domination and one is consistently out doing the other. We've dominated them in possession in the past and it hasn't worked and we've even been dominated by them (see the first 45 mins of the last NLD). What has separated the two of us every time has been organization, and that's not limited to the defensive line.

We have conceded at least 4 goals in corners to them in 4 matches one being the forced error of an own goal. Set pieces are a perfect example of their relentless, bordering cringe, obsession with organization and patterns of play which they abuse to our detriment whilst our twat publicly scoffs at it (whilst clearly addressing privately only because he has to and not because it's a virtue) "I know I should care about corners, but I don't".

"Ange’s issue is not having no ideas, it’s that he’s stubborn about sticking to one idea."

Agreed. Even if he does try to change it, he bastardizes right back to type i.e. inverting Gray in a back three against Everton, conceding because of it, then going right back to a back four in the second half.

Gross - P 26 Pts 38 , ppg 1.45
Ange this season - P23 Pts 24, ppg1.04
Ange since the first 10 - P51 Pts 64, ppg1.25
Ange overall - P61, Pts 90, ppg1.47

Ange is worse than Gross, he had more to work with but then Gross had a funny accent, didnt try and be yer mate or have much knowledge of how to play the media so left himself open to ridicule. Ange is without doubt our worst manager from Burkinshaw onwards.

The Arse have looked like kryptonite for us but that game model is beating a lot of teams. Remove set pieces and we’d have taken points in every game against them.

Obviously you can’t remove set pieces and they are part of the game but they never beat us because of flaws in our system. They beat us from set pieces and on a fair few of them, understanding how to bend the laws of the game to score from set pieces.

AZ was not good. We had Forster to thank

Qarabag with 10 men actually was a really good win.

Other than Qarabag we’ve been shite in the EL

But that is the whole point!
Whole point of this business is to be as shit as possible while getting in the wins!!!

It never has been about trashing everyone 5:0; 4:0; 7:0.

This is top-level-fine-margins-football.
You need to get in wins even on your off days. Not a 5:0 win one day, followed by 6 losses.

Ange is worse than Gross,
much worse. Gross never went one win in 10. Near the start lost 2 in a row but never after that so that every other game we were at least picking up a point. Away at Barnsley and 1-1 and Vega gets a red. I really thought that might be it. They'd already knocked us out of the cup in a replay.
We were very lucky that we played Barcodes after they'd got to the FA cup final with nowt to play for. Those last 3 games we picked up 7 pts and only stayed up by 4.
Awful season, but this is currently worse.

people saying yeah but when we get the injured players back bla bla. The way Ange plays and trains there's EVERY chance they'll break down agin

This is indisputable as far as I am concerned.

Big 10 days for Ange. Do or die for his future. Odds are he’s probably a goner but at its best Ange ball is the best football we’ve seen at Spurs in the PL era and it’s not close.

Sure, it’s risky and fragile when everything isn’t clicking and we are a mess atm but when it is, we’ve done it to every level of team and battered them.

13 laugh reacts. I am only sorry I can’t add another one.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this point though. Like watching the violinists on the titanic go down with their ship.

My point is that someone has to be Spurs worst manager from Burkinshaw onwards.

Gross got to a Champions League semi final with Grasshoppers and had a good rep before he joined Spurs. His right hand man and assistant manager, whose English was excellent, was refused a work permit after Sugar had done the deal to bring him in.

Gross was left to look a fool in front of the media and players who quickly rejected his leadership and credibility.

These things happen.

Ange has failed at Spurs. No argument about it.

No cup win can cover up the amount of defeats Spurs have suffered and the easy goals we are giving away to poor teams.

The defeats to Everton and Leicester have sealed his fate.

The 2 games a week has exposed Ange's tactics and the depth of the squad.

Ange was a huge gamble and his position is now untenable.

In 24 years this ownership and their business model has only produced 4 managers who have produced results at the level expected or just above 6th place. One of those managers was AVB who was never even popular with the majority of supporters.

13 managers have failed miserably.

It is ENIC that is the problem at THFC.

I don't blame Ange for accepting the job and the THFC supporters knew better than anyone that it was always going to end up this way.

It wasn't if but when.

The club has been dead since the miser sacked Poch.

ENIC are specialists in failure and there is now nothing to get hold of.

The Ange project was just the same smoke and mirrors, jam tomorrow, that has been peddled for 24 years.

ENIC are shit owners in respect of delivering a successful football team and trophies.

They have killed Spurs.

Not Ange.

Sorry mate, can't agree. I think the football we played under Prime Poch was better. Was attacking enough to be exciting and provided a solid defensive base too.

That football was in a different stratosphere to Ange-ball, imo.

Fair enough and i agree with you totally about the real villains of the piece. But i still think Postecoglou has no business being a premier league manager and would fail at better run clubs than ourselves.
