It wouldn't surprise me, the signing of Yang shows how important Levy considers that market to be.Do you wonder though if Son is there for ticket sales?
It seems he starts every game no matter how/knackered/ineffective he is.
And if he is, is it Ange being told to play him?
And if he is being told and is doing what he's told, he's even worse than we think.
BUT, Levy will like a manager who does what he's told and doesn't speak/act out.
Trust me, I've won multiple trebles on Football Manager, Football Director, Football Director II and many more.Jesus Christ there’s some mental giants on here. Budding football managers. You’re wasting your talents here.
The youth were brought in with an eye to the future. It wasn’t known that a host of senior players would break down, and that the youth would play an extraordinarily number of minutes.
And in saying that, funny how our overworked youth haven’t broken down but the senior professionals have????? I said it earlier that I think a lot of the senior players need to take some responsibility for how they are handling their recovery in their own time.
I think we expected something like this.
Those in RED are injured. Those in yellow have not been available for a lot of the season. I'm not sure which supercoach you expect to pull out victories playing 2 times a week with this availability.

In the first game vs Woolwich we had
15 vs 7 shots
65% possession
492 vs 286 passes
460 vs 220 touches in the opposition half
90% vs 76% pass success

I'd be surprised though if there wasn't pressure from Levy to play academy players far more though, as two or three coming through could either save a few quid or make a few quid by selling them on.
J suspect the running into the ground of most of the senior players (plus teenagers bought for large fees) and the lack of game time for THFC academy players is driven by Ange himself

Sure, at the end of the match, the only thing that matters is the result.
But, what we saw was a young team that could dominate an established mature team and force them to sit in. They were unable to cope with our press, and were forced to surrender possession to us.
If we can get this squad back to full strengh again, I'm confident that our system will be a success.

I think fascination for youth goes a bit beyond the way you are describing it. Kinsky is an open and shut case tbh. Munn has banged on about loving youth also. Ange has talked about it endlessly last season and this season. TBH their tactic might work in Football Manager (Spectrum 48k era) as the game was very linear and non-real world.
Look more closely at the squad and you'll see a clear correlation between the amount of time a player has been playing for Ange and his level of performance and availability to play.
It isn't pretty for Ange.
Wonder why our best players this season are Spence and Bergvall?
Actually a very good insight. Although it's only 25m, it's a wealthy country with a growing interest in football. The tours there were obviously pointing in that direction. Had it worked out with Ange, Spurs could have generated a lot of support there.I worry Ange is still here because Levy has had a sniff of the Aussie market.
I doubt he actually does much coaching and just trusts others to do it.Our best players this season are the ones least "coached" by Ange.
The longer anyone is here the worse they get.
He has said more or less just that. And so players degrade without coherent coaching led by the "Head Coach".I doubt he actually does much coaching and just trusts others to do it.
He is apparently not involved much in training at all. Preferring to let the coaches lead practice and just observing.I doubt he actually does much coaching and just trusts others to do it.

On paper, that is not a outrageous idea. Jose, Poch and Ferguson all used/use this setup from time to time. The difference is of course that all of those guys have firmly established staffs of assistants that knew their managers systems and ideas. Ange put together a completely new staff when he got here, and replaced half this summer. And the assistants seem just as confused as the players.
Good job then they are not asked to play as FBsThe thing is, we don't have any fullbacks!
I would say all of Porro, Spence, Udogie, Reggie, they are all wingbacks. All looking good attacking, all of them looking awful defending.
They would have all been good in a 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 system.
But with a back 4 they don't really fit.
Strange his only started doubling down on the injuries excuse now we are out of the cups. Before it was we are still in 4 competitions so must be doing something g right. We already have plenty of evidence the injuries are not the problem.
This bullshit that Ange is peddling is little more than a very poor excuse for his own ineptitude and sadly people are buying it.
Maybe even the chairman is? Although my thoughts are the only reason he is still here comes down to finances.
Injuries, injuries, injuries blah blah blah.Jesus Christ there’s some mental giants on here. Budding football managers. You’re wasting your talents here.

We'd struggle in the Championship with Ange. I really mean that. There are 40 or 50 teams in England who would beat us more often than not right now.Injuries, injuries, injuries blah blah blah.
Are they a factor yes.
2 injury crisis's in 18 months.
Tactically miles off everyone else. Small teams look better set up and better coached.
Wide open on the flanks every game. Midfield no show every game. Teams cutting through us like a hot knife through butter.
Thats more a concern
I ask one simple question.
Do or do you not think that manager and his decisions and methods have impact on players injuries or not?
You state the facts we know. But what is the reason behind those facts occuring in the first place, ah?![]()
