This stretch seems like his last chance and best bet to make a statement. There are 3 more matches before that, Bournemouth-Fulham (A)- Chelsea (A) to be exact, but since they are all against top half teams I don't expect a great deal from them.

Soton are devoid of any hope and Wolves are not much better. Forest are coming back down to earth after outperforming some of their underlying metrics to such an incredible degree for months. Liverpool have already won the league, this match will most likely be totally insignificant for them. WH not only suck but also have nothing to play for, as they're comfortably over the relegation zone. Palace have been on a roll recently but I don't expect them to keep this form for another 2 months. A 6 match spell doesn't get much easier than this in this league.

His inability to put together wins has rightfully been beaten to death already, but like I said he can go on a run of some kind based solely on regression to the mean. How (in)competent he is as a top level manager is quite irrelevant here, even Mason won 4 out of 6 after inheriting Mourinho's mess a few years ago.

He'll put the pressure on Levy IF he goes on a run though. Unless Levy already has the successor lined up for next season, which I doubt, it is an open race where Ange is one of the participants. Then anything can happen based on how the rest of the league campaign pans out, including him getting another year.

He is not a dead man walking, as ridiculous as it sounds. Far from it.
Those games are meaningless end of season fixtures though. Esp if we're out of EL

He won in Australia and Japan with teams the subject of a salary cap, so just couldn’t buy a league. Won an Asian cup with Australia. All of these results were coupled with acknowledgment that they played the best football in the league.

He has obviously been tested. There’s more to life than the premier league.
Ah come on. Im all for the premier league is not the be all and end all, but its light light years away. Whole diff level of testing

Its all relative. He wasn't playing against Premier League opposition, true, but its not like he had premier league resources against them either.

Having said that I've never seen his teams looks as disorganized defensively and lacking a coherent system as this. Its not just the opposition being a different class.

In the recent presser, he said the injuries to senior players have meant the training sessions were with youth team players. He can't bed in a system if the players are simply not there to practice together. Its a reasonable excuse.

Also this season has been interesting in that more teams are competitive, and have closed thee gap with the top 5 or 6.

It's EL final (and in my opinion win) or bust at this point.

He’s definitely out of his depth a bit when it comes to that.

When Dier mentioned there was no specific work without the ball Ange clearly said he doesn’t do it.

The Spanish and Italians live for it. Hours spent on the pitch playing against nobody or just working on shape. On a personal level I learnt loads working with Spanish coaches. Their mindset / skill set is quite different to the Uk coaching. And the Spanish and Italian mentality has really seeped into English football over the last 20 odd years.

He would just have not been exposed to that level before due to his background.

There is an element of him learning on the job.
Although that can be said for quite a few managers at any time in this league. Ruud for instance. Although Ruud has worked with the best managers in the world over his career to shape his ideas to.
