Agreed but, Ange is probably the worst spurs managerial appointment ever. He's a total amateur. Levy after 25 years should have known better than take on someone whose only ever been successful in shit leagues. Levy needs to fuck off as well as he is also a total amateur when it comes to football.
Levy isn't even a great businessman, nowhere near the level he & his cronies think he's at.

Massively overspent on the stadium...but wouldn't be surprised if there were some right dodgy dealings done under the table, kickbacks and whatnot.

The naming rights fiasco.

Getting fleeced by Lyon re Ndombele, Betis re GLC, Everton re Richarlison x 100...

I remember seeing that before he got this job and thinking it’s not great, but I’ll give him a pass because the interviewer was a bit of a dick and trying to start an argument.
But it’s actually quite typical of Ange, he’s always got his excuses ready and doesn’t like being challenged on them.
the interviewer is Craig Foster who played for Portsmouth and Palace, Australia amongst others and knows what he is talking about. He is a football pundit but more importantly a human rights advocate who fought hard for the freedom of a Bahraini footballer. It is worth reading up on that .. there is also a film about that.

Where I am in the south stand it is the same. I have been discussing with the guy that sits behind how Ange still has a job since the Wolves game. But there seems to be some sympathy for Ange around me still.
Maybe they've listened to Ricky Sacks lamenting how poor Ange just hasn't been backed, how he's not been given the players for his system.

There’s always going to be some sympathy for Ange because he has to work for Levy. Even some world class managers have found that impossible, so a scrub like Ange never had a chance.

But surely even the most sympathetic fan knows deep down that Ange doesn’t have what it takes to compete at this level. You can’t lose at home to Van Nistelrooy’s Leicester and still pretend to know what you’re doing.

If we go out of Europe next week Ange should go immediately. No Wells and Mason as caretakers until the summer and drift to the summer. Get Poch in ASAP. Make him an offer he cannot refuse. If we're prepared to pay £50M for Johnson, and £60M for Richarlison, buying Poch out of his USA contract and paying him £15M a year should not be a problem. Let Poch and his coaches run the rule over the squad (I think they'll like it), and then back him with £200M in the summer (we can easily recoup £100M of that by selling the 4 or 5 players he will not fancy - Johnson, Richarlison, Dragusin, Bissouma etc. - plus offloading Gil, Scarlett, Reguilon etc. We may not even need to spend as I reckon Poch would get a tune out of players like Devine, Donley, Moore etc. We have a young squad full of potential, we just need a coach who is recognised as getting a lot out of young, energetic players.

I can imagine this XI under Poch with Gray slipping back into a back 3 in possession between Romero and VdV, with Spence and Udogie bombing on the wings (like Walker and Rose used to). Get Son playing as a second striker again (or have Tel playing that role if Poch fancies him).

Vicario
Spence -- Romero -- VdV -- Udogie
Bergvall - Gray -- Donley
Kulusevski
Solanke -- Son

Isn't that what Ange had us doing when he first come to us

Ironically the interviewer giving the roasting re the Aussie National Team is now one of Ange’s biggest advocates!

I think this will be his last job in management

No serious club in the top 5 leagues will touch him with a barge pole and I don't think his ego will allow him to drop back down to an SPL or Belgium league etc after managing a "top 6" premier league team
