Profiles are more important than your CV. Look where Pep,Arteta and Conte were before they got their big break.

The reason people rated Postecoglou wasn't because of what he won, but how he set his teams up.
Right. So what’s the difference between Postecoglou and say, Paulo Fonseca, for example? The latter also sets his teams up to attack, just like Postecoglou, you could say he’s the right profile.

The glass is always half empty for you isn't it?
Try being a little optimistic, it might change your outlook on life a bit!
So your argument is that I should just be a little more optimistic. :ange-lol:
It’s not about the glass is always half empty, it’s about staying realistic…

As a Spurs supporter, why dismiss our new manager before he has had a chance to prove himself?
Denigrating our managing does not sound optimistic to me does it?

They both attack, but there are differences. Just like there's a difference between Conte and someone like Allardyce for example.

I haven't watched Fonseca but watching Ange, one thing he does thats similar to Pep and Arteta is his use of inverting full backs for example. Thats just a small example of course but it's meant to show the small differences amongst coaches who play the same way. Zinchenko did an interview with Ferdinand where he talked about how something like that can help the team create more, and it's something that has to be coached properly. Theres a reason why every coach doesn't do that.

Also from what I've seen from us in Pre-season when we attack we tend to have a lot more players that enter into the final third, which also comes down to players being better coached which allows us to have multiple options whenever we're in possession.

Ange played against Madrid in the champions league and even though they lost they created a ton of chances and were the better team in the first half. Most attacking coaches can't do that.

I’m not dismissing anyone, I simply can’t see how Postecoglou is that amazing manager who nobody else in the league noticed but Daniel Levy and we’ve sort of hit the jackpot. I’ve seen some say he’ll be our best manager after Bill Nicholson, I mean what the fuck, how can people delude themselves like that?

I think Postecoglou will be a decent appointment, he’ll get us to play better football than what we’ve played in the last few years (although I’d argue in the last 2-3 months of Conte’s first season, the football was pretty good) and we’ll finish about the same position our team quality is, 5th-7th. Unfortunately for Postecoglou, I don’t think that’ll earn Levy’s trust to buy him better players and we’ll be here talking our next manager in 2-3 years.

And yes, I hope I’m wrong and it all works out wonderfully for our club.

Ah, so you’re a sucker for fancy terms. Don’t wanna sound like a twat, but I can tell you wouldn’t know how inverted fullbacks create more chances, without Googling it.

He did that with infinitely inferior players (on paper) also.

Ange cut his teeth in salary capped leagues where the number one key individual is the coach. He's the one who most can make a difference.

Give him the players and he'll move mountains.

The difference is THE MAN.

Didn’t you ever have a teacher or a work colleague or anyone that just saw things differently and because of this they could do and say things that made others feel invincible?

Don’t be so dismissive of him 👍

Some leagues are shit or at least shitter than others, not sure why that's such a controversial statement to make.

The Ange fanboys don't seem to understand our league or our club. Ultimately he has to work under Levy and ENIC and our owners are driven to win, not trophies anyway.

Also, he has had one bloody game. Let's leave it a bit before hailing him as the new Messiah FFS.

You're hatred of levy really clouds your judgement.

i liked in his interview after the game, he was asked about how difficult it was to breakdown brentfords park the bus style, and he didnt complain about it as Klopp and others would. Dissmissed it and said nope it was on us to breakthem down, and basically that the front 3 werent dynamic enough but it will come.

very promising coach if he's given time. Hopefully we back the man and not the players this time, let's see what happens

Nobody is hailing him as the new Messiah you donkey.

People are, rightly excited by the kind of football he will be getting us to play, and he does feel like a breath of fresh air after Conte.

None of that is saying he is the new Messiah.

But now you're breaking out more labels for people. 'LeVyBoTs' for anyone who dares not to spend 100% of their posts on here criticising Levy, and now 'AnGe FaNboYS' for anyone who want to enjoy his reign,

Grow the fuck up you miserable armpit before I start applying labels to you and your ilk.

FFS, all I'm saying is maybe wait a bit before hailing Ange as the Messiah!

He's had ONE PL game, we played well at times but we drew.

He could end up being our best manager since Nicholson, he could also be sacked after a season.

Just slow down a bit is all, that's not depressing talk that's simply common sense.

Seriously man, chill the fuck out.

Always so aggressive all the time.

Ilk? Haha, wtf?

People with common sense? Yep, that's us.
