Is that the fan base in general or the vocal ones online?

Hard to tell. Some fans are genuinely spending thousands to go to Bilbao and are still saying sack the manager regardless to all media outlets whilst on the plane there! I don't know how the majority of the lucky 15k+ feel or the average season ticket holder.

For me it is hypocritical to still be attacking the manager, players, club in the build up of the potential biggest cup win in 40 odd years. I would at least reserve judgement until afterwards and only criticise a loss.

Yep. He didn’t need to address it. Unless it’s to distract pressure away from the players and on to him. That’s the only thing I think it could be.

There is a perception from the media that Tottenham in general do not handle the manager questions from journalists as well as other clubs. Even when Conte was in charge, he pointed out that generally the managerial question is posed to a sporting director and not the head coach.

Other clubs also back the manager publicly to remove speculation. Tottenham do not do this. Hence, the manager is less protected from the media than at every other club and has to take them on himself.

As for whether Ange is thick skinned and taking on the media as a game, or thin skinned and biting back as an ill-advised error, the jury is still out.

It could honestly be neither. Genius if he wins, overly deluded if he loses.

Porro we already got before Ange. Paratici was prbly behind signing Vic. MADDs was well early in the transfer window so we probably already done the leg work. Sarr has regressed this season. Spence yes his been a find but he completely ignored for nearly half the season even after saving his skin v cov in LC. Could go on…
Best you take a breath and read what I said porros defending still ain't great but it's improved. I never said he brought him in
From what I've gathered paratici has always been working for levy on the quite.. but if they hadn't signed.. then the coach would absolutely have the final say... disagree about sarr.. think the extra work load angs system demands and like other young players who haven't 100% physically developed yet let alone reached footballing peak it has taken him time to adapt to,which imo he's done pretty well and let's not forget .. it's his first full season of being regarded as a prem starter let alone playing, sometimes three TOP level games a week.. or is there another angle I'm missing ?

Imagine if he goes to Forest and without Europe obligations, wins the League 😀
(He will never go to Forest even if he has an offer. Marinakis is the exact opposite of Ange's ethos).

Forest will have Europe no?

But I could 100% see him having a big season with that squad and Forest fans absolutely loving him

Marinakis is Greek though, Ange is Greek. Ethos is a Greek word, it can mean anything they want

What is the obsession with how many games we've lost? I'm not defending Ange but 8 of them came during that December/January decimated squad period and another 6 in April/May where we've been rightly fielding second strings.

Obviously our league form has been abysmal but anyone focused solely on the number of the losses is one of those Spurs fans who just loves to hate everything and probably wants us to lose tonight so they can moan about the manager and chairman.

I think that's a fair point, and also, the transfer windows have been shocking. We've basically picked up Solanke and Danso - one starter and one back-up CB. The rest were all intended to be for the future and no real use in a dog-fight with injuries piling up, but we had to use them.

Levy seems to focus on turning cheap into sellable, rather than really investing in tried-and-tested quality players that are fit for top-4. Ok, so that's harder when you aren't actually in the top 4 (to attract them, pay the prices and wages), but we were there for long enough and didn't exactly buy many quality top-4 proven players. We got lucky with some, but many were dogs, or injury prone.
