That sounds like the absolute worst thing we could do. Either we let go of him and he can leave as a hero or we keep him because we genuinely think he can lead us to something great long term and sustainable. Just keeping him for a short while beacuse of a trophy will just delay the inevitable.

Possibly. I mean it’s Levy’s call at the end of the day. I think if I was Anges agent, I’d be telling him to go now, whilst his stock is at its highest it’s ever been in many ways. I think if he stays and next season starts the way I would expect, he’ll have missed out on opportunities that could be available to him this week.

Unfortunately, our league season has been that bad, I just don't see how he stays. If he'd finished 10th or something, sure, give him next season a case could be made.
But 17th. The only teams to finish below us are playing in the Championship next season.
There's just no plan or clue, and keeping him would be based on emotion only, and that isn't good.
It really would be madness to give him next season, because it's not like we are improving or we look like progressing under him. His system simply doesn't work in the PL, we've seen it week in week out.

You're right with the bolded bit. And I'm proud of Ange for his management of our Europa campaign.
Football is just as much about the marathon as it is the sprint for me, though. We've looked woeful in the league for most of this season. Disorganised, predictable and bereft of nuanced tactics. I won't pretend to speak for everyone either - because you can be ecstatic and crying after finally winning a trophy while recognising that this fella is not cut out for the long haul at the highest level.
Anyway FUCK IT. Celebrating till end of season and beyond
