Mate we've just finished 17th with our worst ever Premier League season. We lost more home games than we won, twice as many in fact. If that's a low expectation then it's because Ange has left us in this state.

The only way Ange could top the Europa is by winning the CL or PL and there is nothing in our performances over the last two years that suggests he would ever manage that. Nothing.

He's given us the long awaited trophy and our parting memory of him is parading the trophy around the stadium at the last game of the season, and that's best for everyone.
What do you expect from our new manager in the coming season?

You reading things that nobody else is seeing.

Wondering what this rant is about?

If you think coming 8th the season after 250,000 watched the EL parade, then it's you who needs to wake up!
You’ve just written it yourself you plank! Several times! 😂

You post like we’ve been achieving trophies every season and now we’ve sacrificed that by getting rid of Ange!

You aim and hope to win something every season, otherwise what’s the point in competing, but don’t be naive enough to expect that’s going to happen year in year out!

yeah and they stuck with him because he'd achieved great things with an Aberdeen side who cost thrupence to put together compared to the Old Firm teams that he routinely beat in cups and leagues. 2 league titles and 2 European trophies. Loads of cups.

The Melbourne Muppets and being better than an awful Rangers team isn't quite the same

The Scottish sides were relatively (compared to today) much better, probably more than you remember.

As an example we bought Steve Archibald from Aberdeen in 1980, and the Archibald ,Crooks strike force we put together was a thing of beauty. Archibald later moved to Barcelona - so Aberdeen had some good players at that time, far better than they get today.

you fail to see the big picture along with most spurs fans, you are used to being also rans and will continue to do so. league form was poor, granted, however Ange achieved what all previous managers failed to do in 40years. facts are he wins everywhere he goes, always has always will, lower quality leagues, yes but its all relative. the problem with Spurs isnt the quality of players its a deep rooted losing mentality that cuts from the CEO to the players onto the fans...just a self loathing loser mentality, Jose said it, Conte said it and Ange thinks it. it takes years to create a win at all cost mentality at a club, let alone a club that are losers, he took that first step, started to create that mentality and was ousted all because he is a winner nothing more nothing less
The league form wasn't poor.

Poor was the league form that got Conte chopped while we were still top 4, or Jose while we were on the top 7. Poor was the league form under Poch which still saw us finish 4th in his last season.

The league form under Ange was dog shit. Historically bad.

You don't breed winning mentality by losing twice as many games as you win.

Had 2 tactical styles. All out attack or park the bus. Injuries were a joke as well. His high frenetic tactics were injuring players. Weve been diabolical since chelsea home 2023. Press conferences were annoying me as well. Will get a nice payoff. We move on.

You really need to work on your reading comprehension. Seriously.

No - I'm sticking to what we know, rather than hypotheticals.

I'm saying that Klopp lost his best defender and didn't finish 17th. How many games did he lose Allison for this and last season, too. Good managers can adapt. Ange refused to.

I don't know why you're bringing up Aston Villa? What decade are you reaching into there

I'm saying your expectation of an average European team finishing top half and winning a European trophy is incorrect. Even Liverpool after winning the league showed similar league form to us.

Ange adapted when it came to winning the Europa League and avoiding relegation. He did not adapt much more than that. However, with players like Van Dijk, Saliba, Rice... he would not be losing 4-1 at home to Brighton.

Club legend 😂

We clearly weren’t wrong or the club would’ve kept him. They obviously don’t see things your way at all. And I guarantee he doesn’t get hired by some big club either which will tell you how the football world views his time here.

The guy did an absolutely incompetent job for the majority of time he was here, he got a lovely run for a cup and managed to win it by playing the opposite of his football.

Well done him but thank god the board aren’t thick enough to dedicate our future to that shite like a section of the fans are.
You're the one being thick here if you don't realise the pressure Ange was putting on the board without getting himself a one way ticket to the back door by publicly outing them.

Ange more than any manager I can remember has exposed the lack of funding and quality in our squad to truly compete. He's actually prioritised winning a trophy to end all the banter and shit we hear none stop and you're slagging him off?

His win rate with Romero and VDV when fit shows the man knows what he's doing. All the while creating a system that creates goals? Cheering his sacking a d welcoming in a mid table manager (albeit wish him well) is absolutely mental over a man who's done the business. All the while doing it in style - the man always wins things in his second season

Yeah ok pal, some of us don't find it acceptable getting dicked by Ipswich and Leicester at home when those teams managed 10 wins all season between them. I'd rather be mediocre for a couple years while we start a project under an actual competent manager who won't get his belly tickled in the league every week, I watch Spurs to be entertained and there are far more games to watch in the league than all the cups combined, I don't want to watch fucking shit football every week. Sure those who just follow along the results on google are devastated though.

Woah, back up and finish... what decade of Villa were you comparing us to???

edit: for the benefit of the tape, it appears to be the 1981/82 season where Villa finished 11th and won the European cup. Only the 44 years ago

Imo he got found out in march 2024 v fulham away. Got trounced 3 nil. Hes made mediocre managers look good. Make no mistake had we kept Ange we were in big trouble next season, big trouble. The board were unianimous in sacking. Totally agree.

sir alex lost 6-3 to southampton and lost 16 league games early on in his united career, but united stuck with him,and that my friends is how dynasties are created and rebuilds are done . anyone that thinks ange could turn around a decades long loser club with loser mentality and change the culture in two years is delusional ,anyone that thinks he should of continued to win every game with archie gray and ben davies as his center backs and no vicario is delusional .spurs will never ever win the league ,because the top players will prefer to go to barcelona, the two madrids ,Woolwich.city,liverpool,united,psg.bayern ,juve, napoli etc.
I mean... I don't hate the content but it's written like a serial killer would write in their diary... For the love of god use some punctuation!

Neither would be my choice if I was seriously trying to win the PL and CL

If the scum decided Arteta couldn’t win them the PL would they be choosing between Frank or Rodger’s?
But Brenda's got loads of trophies, all of them at least equally or more prestigious than whatever Ange had won prior to joining us, and success breeds success, right? Doesn't matter about context or what the cups were does it?

The appeal of Frank is his ability to get good league positions with peanuts in terms of a wage bill
I have my doubts where Frank is concerned, but until you see where he can go with what we have and will add, you and I have no idea. All you're doing is trying to pass off opinion as fact.
It’s blindingly obvious what we can expect from the club with this appointment.
No it's not. We have no idea how the players will react, how much they'll improve within his structure, how far his coaching will improve them or not.

Nothing is obvious.
If I was guessing, this is the year they finally sell up and Frank is there to get a safe mid table position on zero wages and very little investment this summer. Then the new owners can make a big splash with their new coach
There's no "if" here, you are guessing, particularly as Frank hasn't been appointed!
The same utterings were out there when Eddie Howe was noised about as a potential replacement for Conte. Now most would welcome him with open arms.
A few weeks ago Iraola was the second coming, now he's Marmite.

How about waiting to see what actually happens, rather than making your mind up before we've even got the new manager through the door?
