The biggest lie I keep seeing is “he had us playing the right way” and talking about his “attacking football”, fuck off, we got battered most of the time and looked like our technical level was lower than our opponents 9 times out of 10. His attacking football worked for about 20 matches out of 80. Rest of them we were clueless, couldn’t keep possession, just had wingers failing take-ons over and over.

The path to beat us was so easy.

And then his biggest triumph, EL, was Conte-style stuff. Just look at the Frankfurt and United wins, we basically just won it International style by funneling everything to Romero/VDV and getting a smash and grab goal. It wasn’t some attacking identity or something we could build off. Glad he won us a trophy but I’m even more glad the cunt is finally gone.
