they'd never admit, but deep down I know a few of these 'fans' would've loved if we were beaten that night just so they could say i told you so, and revel in their internet glory.
in order to compensate though now you just get the smooth brained dull comments of it being "lucky"
yeah but we would have lost if VDV couldn't defend but he can...so we were lucky :frankfacepalm:
Strawman argument.

There is not one Spurs fan who wished we had lost that night.

Being honest about the way we played, is not wishing we had lost.

It's ridiculous argument based on alternative reality that doesn't exist.

We were shit all season creative players or not.

No we don't how the match would panned, but we have a really good idea from the shower of shit that was served up for almost the whole of last season.

Even watching the game we had nothing, not a thing, like one shot on target, one shot on goal or something stupid like that.

If ManU scored, we would have lost, we offered nothing.

We got lucky, no it's no buts, and that VdV clearance saved us.

Um yes we are, you responded to a comment solely about the final and whether we were lucky to win or not, don't try and move the goalposts now and try to act as if we're talking about the whole season lmao

You repeating yourself isn't going to convince anyone btw, sounds like you need to convince yourself more than anything.

We not only could have but SHOULD have performed better in the PL, even despite a correct focus on the EL. I think we actually agree. Ange was judged on the full body of work and rightly so.

I just bristle against taking our EL successes for granted.

Let's revisit this when we see how Frank, City, Monaco and Juventus get on playing up in Bodo.
I understand you completely but we were quite rightly favourites in the comp because the lineup was so weak....but your right. Our basic philosophy is similar...

Bro it's hilarious, the luck argument is so dumb, might as well the rest of the Prem wee lucky that we went through and injury crisis otherwise we would have got top 4 :harrylol:

riiiiiight...then why are you so upset that we won, why does it always have to be we only won because..? :angesmile2:
So being honest about how we played, is now being upset we won.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a truly pathetic thing to say.

And the smugness that goes with it, hilarious.

I have better thing to do than talk to people who clearly have issues, and just want to make stuff up, to justify themselves and their opinions.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and I hope we have good game tomorrow.

Laughable that he's still peddling the "I always win trophies" line whilst now at the level of Forest.

You're winning fuck all mate quit the bullshit.

I doubt he lasts the season there.
Yeh - so many coaches don’t actually understand that being at Spurs - whilst not a doped Citeh-etc is probably going to be an apex for their career before they head on the downwards spiral.

It’s a big gig.

Forest 2025-6 isn’t.

right the weird mental gymnastics is crazy to me. Man united are a poor team, we beat them 3 times previous. We were missing bergvall, maddison and kulu (nothing lucky about that) we then played a low block and we defended well for 90 with our strong backline doing what they're paid to do....nothing lucky about that either

if they had an unfair sending off, or we scored a blatant offside goal then sure, but there's nothing lucky about winning a game because the other team can't get passed your defence or keeper, that's football. shouldnt really need to explain it
but here we are still, the smoothed brained individuals are malfunctioning :angesmile2:

It’s not big but it’s not small, they’re basically the best team in the league he could’ve realistically got to when you think about it. I understand the relationship with Marinakis and have read the articles but it’s still really surprising to me.

No you wasn't. You highlighted the pointed the if the the ball goes in, Manu go on and win the game. Nothing about luck was mentioned, but rather a comment on how poorly we played.

So you yourself are moving the goal posts. How ironic.

And I agree with him, if VdV doesn't keep that ball out, I think ManU go on and win, we was playing that poorly and literally offered nothing.

It all comes across as desperate and bitter that Levy and Ange both left, and you're still coming to terms with it.

And that's fine. People react to stuff differently and won't knock you for it.

I on the other hand, have nothing to come to terms with, I love the fact we won the EL, great stuff, but I also understand we put in an awful performance, a performance so poor, that on most other nights, we probably would have lost.

But we didn't and we have a trophy.

Im looking forward to the Marinakis - Postecogli Circus this season. Will have to buy a massive amount of popcorn.
A lot of people have said this but I feel like Ange carried a lot of water for Levy, imo if anything it’ll be Ange vs The Media round two.
