He genuinely acts like he has no intuitive grasp of some of the core tenets of game theory [football is a game] and economics that are very relevant to football management actually.

You know, stuff like diminishing returns [of goals], different and context dependent payoffs for a given strategy [going all out attack] and such.

The cult started:

"it isn't ange its boly and yates that made 3 fuckups which cost the game"
"trust the process all we need to do is score more goals Its who we are now mate. Trust in Big Ange. He kept Tottenham up"
"I hope every player is made to watch that back tomorrow. A total capitulation after dominating for so long. Embarrassing."
Imagine how dumb you have to be to think he kept us up. He’s the reason we were down there in the first place ffs

Their first target... someone who's sussed the in-game incompetence from the off.

So glad I don't have to go through this crap anymore.

Grim.

"Absolutely farcical. We spend over a hundred million bulking up the squad for 4 competitions and Postecoglou treating one of them like a pre season friendly.

2 nil up and he’s putting Gibbs White in central midfield. Why? What on earth was there to gain from playing an attacking midfielder out of position when we had control of the game? Why take off Jesus when his confidence was sky high?

At the start the gap in quality between the teams was ridiculous. We were just popping it around with ease. But absolutely ridiculous finishing and final passes in the final third. Not even the final third, we had countless opportunities inside the penalty area, almost inside the six yard box.

John Victor looks w**k.

Postecoglou not doing anything to dispel concerns that his teams don’t know how to defend. That result has f**ked me right off, I can’t lie. What nonsense is he going to say to defend that?

He absolutely took the piss out of Swansea at HT and got caught out. Complacency personified. Good luck to them, they never let their heads drop. We were too over confident. Should’ve taken our chances and buried them 4 or 5. Got what we deserved in the end.

Boly looks shot. Should’ve thanked him and let him go in June."

This one is absolutely perfect because it’s technically correct (obviously the players are the ones physically at fault for the goals, Ange stands still on the sidelines), so there’s always an excuse. Oh Romero switched off, oh Bissouma forgot to track, oh Davies or Gray was too slow.

smart people can discern that this sort of thing is a trend under Ange because of his ludicrous system and the fact that players never feel secure. His lemmings however think everything is just an unlucky fluke, never related to Ange.
