Apologies if that’s how it came across, wasn’t how it was intended and have the utmost respect for Spurs as a football club and actually like seeing them do well particularly at the expense of the Woolwich and Man U’s of the world.
I was more trying to explain that while all football clubs have a cross section of fans that are impatient and irrational and scream “manager out” without, it seems, seeing the bigger picture and goals in place, the back office that runs the club is normally more measured and structured and patient with long term goals and a structured approach of points along the way (with some exception like Chelsea and Marinakis!!}. Some of the decisions being made by the back office seem to really lack that long term plan and patience and “trusting the process” of sorts. I’m not saying you completely back someone into oblivion but you can’t just rinse and repeat over and over and keep blaming the manager either. At some point they need to look in the mirror and think, maybe it’s us and how we’re doing things (or what we’re not doing) but that doesn’t seem to be happening.
From the outside watching I think the immense influence of Kane/Son is perhaps being overlooked because at times they probably papered over some deficiencies and won or salvaged games that would have been lost without their sheer brilliance and play together so now it’s time to rebuild without them as a squad and regenerate through youth and style of play and get the culture right throughout the organisation and get all those little parts right and that takes time, I’m just not sure the back office is helping that and they don’t seem to want to listen when some pretty respected and successful managers keep saying it to them either.
