Postecoglou farther still
I'm not going to try and win you around, I think I've defended Ange enough at this point now. But just dispute that point. The reason he hasn't made it is because he's doing something that's literally unheard of. Not just the first Aussie, first manager from the Asian or Oceanian confederation. Nobody took a chance on him despite the success he had. This is unprecedented for a coach outside of Europe or South America, particularly one who didn't even have a stellar playing career here. Celtic took a brave risk and were rewarded, now we could be.
Say what you want about it - obviously I'm ecstatic because I've seen every single step of his career - but it is certainly the bravest coaching decision we've ever made to appoint him over Pochettino and Naggelsman.
...which brings us back to Ange.
I've watched a few of the Celtic games highlights. The football looked good but that I mostly clocked up to the opponents being nowhere near the quality of Celtic. Against Brighton, Man City, Woolwich, Newcastle......etc, Celtic would have been at the bottom of the pond. I don't think Levy has caught a Big One here. I forsee Spurs having a tough season again. That's because we've been without an official manager since late March, anyone will do at this point!
He's that great, that inspirational and yet didn't come over to Europe until he was 55?
People have been going on about 'red flags' with Nagelsmann but these were related to his choice of girlfriend, going around ona skateboard and upsetting Oliver Khan (who was subsequently sacked by Bayern).
There are real red flags regarding Ange but we're all so desperate some have convinced themselves that Levy has pulled off some kind of coup in getting him.
Hopefully he really is all that and get us back challenging near the top of the table. That's what really matters, not playing attacking football but sitting mid-table.
That better not be me you’re referring to.
Because I won’t be taking that shit from the likes of you.
Well I just got an erection from this.
Very inspiring, seems like a great communicator.
A very valid point but I also don‘t think our low block really worked either. We invited teams to have long stretches of possession in our half all season long, so I could see how a more progressive and attacking team limits possession and at least keeps teams out of our final third more often. Why would we concede fewer goals when going for a more open manager? We have dreadful defenders and dreadful keepers. I don’t trust Levy to adequately deal with that problem.
And Kane is probably off which will offset any hypothetical defensive improvement.
It's not great but we still love it, way better than Fosters though. Had genuinely never seen Fosters in my life until I went to the UK so bizarre that everyone thinks of it as our favourite.Any Idea what Victoria Bitter tastes like? Apparently it's popular in OZ.
I saw a photograph online of an Aboriginal drinking camp in the Northern Territory, there was a massive pile of VB tins, it look like they just finish the drink and throw the empty can over their shoulder. It's not great but we still love it, way better than Fosters though. It's basically New South Wales=Toohey's, Victoria=VB, Queensland=XXXX, South Australia=Coopers, Tasmania=James Boag's, I think our most popular beer is Great Northern now which is from Queensland, and outside of Coopers probably the best.
Is the Swan Brewery still active? I used to do some work for one of Alan Bond's right-hand men and he used to send me crates of the stuff (he paid me in money too, of course). I know they relocated to SA from WA but did this lower the popularity of the stuff? It's not great but we still love it, way better than Fosters though. My mate in Sydney drinks Coopers, he says it's like a stout. It's not great but we still love it, way better than Fosters though. Had genuinely never seen Fosters in my life until I went to the UK so bizarre that everyone thinks of it as our favourite.

why would he be too small? conte and mourinho both failed and have massive reps so the rep clearly means fuck all. hes not going into a dressing room of winners, these cunts have won fuck all because they are fucking shit and some of them shouldnt be anywhere near the level we want to be at. might take someone like this to go in and rip it up a bit and shift some of the loitering shit weve had to suffer for years.
No-one had even heard of him, let alone ready to take a chance on him. Even Celtic fans were against it and they can win titles with a well waterer cactus in charge.I'm not going to try and win you around, I think I've defended Ange enough at this point now. Just wondering if I can return my season ticket for a refund.
I've got mega Nono vibes. It doesn't matter what kind of football any of them want to play, if they're too small for the job, they'll take the shit lumped on them and it'll fall on its arse in a matter of months.
Expect a new deal for Dier, all the loanee rejects coming back for their 4th chance, mid table with a few tonkings by Novemeber and then the media vultures all circling.
Meanwhile, Kane will probably be banging them in for fun at whatever club he's gone to, whilst the players we use the money on will all look hopeless.
Because all of that is the Spurs DNA.
