His Celtic teams look good. Not just the results but the football looks really easy on the eye. My concern is, its one thing to turn Celtic into bully boys as most of the clubs aside from Rangers can punch back. But in this league, forget Woolwich, City, United, Liverpool Newcastle, teams like Villa, Brentford & Brighton can all throw punches.

So were going to play attacking and direct football, brilliant, I hope we have a plan to deal with opposition transitions and phases of the game where we wont have the ball, because something tells me when we play City, Woolwich and Liverpool, we wont be dominating possession. Where at Celtic, they dominated every domestic game by virtue of being inherently stronger than everyone else, and most of the other teams couldn't muster up a robust counterattack to save their life's.
This is going to be the big challenge for Ange and one I am curious to see how it will play out. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

And let's add you to the list of Levy cucks.

Nah, I won't be doing that. Won't get to tell y'all I told you so.

At no point was Ange winning a new manager poll but now everyone is acting as if he was the undisputed No.1 choice. I hope he does well but for me the jury is still out.
Nobody is acting like he was first choice. People didn’t know much about him, they are learning more and they like what they see. They’re excited that a smart, under the radar choice for manager has been made unlike the big name failures we’ve had recently.

More importantly, NOBODY is saying the jury has decided anything yet. He hasn’t even moved into his office!! And anyway, there are maybe two managers in the whole league who could have a bad season and it not affect their legacy - Guardiola and Klopp. Thé jury is out for everyone else (including de Zerbi and Arteta or whoever you like).

You’ve got to a point where you can’t get any joy from your team so don’t be surprised when Spurs fans tell you to stop being such a boring cunt.

you’re right. Deuterz Deuterz Matt1882 Archie Archie Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive have all been in here telling everyone not to get excited. All of them are most at home being negative, complaining, criticising…. Boring, toxic individuals unable to find joy in the team they claim to support.

I hope they never find themselves in the zeitgeist again.
(1) I wasn't necessarily thinking of them. Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive in particular has been hugely positive about Poste's appointment

(2) You seem to have completely ignored the following points in my post:

"I'm not looking to excuse or deflect from our Chairman's appalling stewardship for a single second."

"Fast forward to the start of August, Harry's about to leave and no one of note has been signed and the howling and gnashing of teeth will be fully justified"

Can't think why.

Was my assignment to critically evaluate your whole post? Or am i allowed to comment on a part of it?

John may have been positive in some posts (?) but he’s been hugely sarcastic and downplaying it in others.

Our players will love that though. But not in the way we'll want them to. They'll just hide behind the manager rather than fronting up. It's a big problem we have at this club. Nobody within the playing staff has any gumption.
And will promptly be shown the bench or the door. If we have selfish players, as Conte said, they simply will not get gametime. Something that Conte never did. How can you say we have selfish players, yet the lineup is the same every week? Surely you would bench the selfish ones, no?

And this is why I think Conte was a fraud. He talked a good game, but when it came to him following it up with actions he did nothing but blame everyone else. Ange seems to be the exact opposite and truly a breath of fresh air. Even if he played defensive football, he'd be a breath of fresh air compared to the last two selfish managers we had.

I was just point out how he's got his work cut out for him. They'll love the hiding.

Ange's problem then becomes Levy, who has to back the manager and move the players on. If our form isn't good, does he do that?

We seem to have been in that vicious cycle for years.

(Agree about Conte though. Never have I been so disappointed with a manager and that includes all of them over the last 30 odd years. He came with all that promise and just couldn't hack managing the team or people and was so inflexible. It was utterly bizarre and probably reflected in him not wanting to be here past the end of last season).

Go back to cooking fried chicken Col, because the age of the pessimistic fan is gone!
COYS Go Ange!

A lot of talk on here about him only being a success in Scotland as he managed the best side in a two team league. Whilst that is true, he has mainly been a success because he set up his side to overcome ten man defences almost every week.

With the exception of matches against Rangers, he had to come up with a plan to break down tight defences and he almost always managed this. Great use of subs and the demand that they never stopped mean that they won almost all matches against lower opposition, scoring plenty in the last twenty minutes too.

How often have we sat watching us try to breakdown the defensive tactics of our opposition and have no confidence we could do it? How often have we went one up and then tried to shut up shop before conceding at least one late goal?

Hopefully he’ll stop all this happening.

Conte was a no nonsense manager, people accused him of overtraining the players.
cunty was a fool! played son all year no matter how shit he was. had emerson royal as his systems main attacking threat when he was useless in the final third! blokes fucking clueless cunt! he wasnt no nonsense at all! he just screamed and shouted a bit. he did plenty of braindead shit that made no sense.

Got us into the CL though, might be quite some time before we're back in it.

He was undermined by Levy and ENIC, they didn't give him their complete backing.

Still, I bet he wins a trophy with his next club before we do.

we got into the CL because we had an actual RWB playing RWB. once doherty got injured it all fell apart and when he recovered he wouldnt drop emerson for him. it was an absolute shit show and painful to watch.

yea he might well win a trophy in italy, who gives a fuck. his brand of football is a fucking bore to watch. hell never do anything in the premier league again, not going off what he showed here, no chance!

and we got top 4 because Woolwich completely fell apart. because once doherty got injured we also fell apart cos cunty didnt have the nous to change the system.

go check the results leading up to villa!! flying and then cash does doherty with a filthy challenge! look at the results after that, because we had a defensive right back, playing in the final third in a system that gets him more space and time on the ball thn anyone else! the most braindead shit ive ever had to suffer watching in football

If Levy doesn't back him, then Ange will walk. At the same time, I do think he will also be reasonable given the club's resources. There's a fine line there, of course, but the moment he feels Levy is not stepping up to the level that the club actually can afford to, he'll walk. He doesn't strike me like someone who cares about the paycheck, if his principles and philosophy is compromised and he is not getting the support he needs.

Tell you what, as a Celtic fan I'm disappointed to lose Ange... But I'd drive Kennedy down to you for free. His coaching was partly how we lost ten in a row with Lennon. Ange won a watch getting Spurs as his next step up... Kennedy will have won Big Ben
Why is it the manager can bring any crap with them regardless of their ability. If say you have DOF who responsible for recruitment of manager and players surely they should also look at bringing in the best qualified coaches and support staff rather than managers mates. Only in football can you get away with this shit. What makes Kennedy qualified to be a coach at top EPL club? Regardless of how he works with Ange.
