Yeh...... Apart from more possession; I'm completely open-minded in terms of what I expect to see.....

I think it's extremely premature to just expect to see a carbon copy of his Celtic/Japanese/Aussie teams transposed onto the EPL.

Exactly.

He's probably more than happy for teams to be expecting that.

Brentford for example who have a coach who wins most scouts against his opposite number will be struggling for how to predict this one.

It’s okay, I need a good laugh!

That entire post was just pure, concentrated, unadulterated bullshit from top to bottom. I mean ok, I’m a pessimist. I accept that. But that post is full on looney tunes optimism to the point where you might as well be reading the result of someone smashing their face against a keyboard.

There's a lot of comedy to be found this summer if one can open themselves up to it.

Also in the genuine spirit of Spursy; when things are at their most chaotic and the deck is loaded the most, that's when this bat-shit club suddenly pulls something out of the bag.

But for me that's what the start of a new season is about. That feeling that this will be a great one.

We win at Brentford - great start.

First home game against United. Ange's first home Prem game. We're still unknown. Win that and we're away.

Roughly one game a week. Cheeky cup runs drawn against lower league opponents.

This could be the season we win it all kid!!!

If we win our first two I will be rushing my facking tits off like it's 1988!

Yeah but you’re presenting it as what you know it is: cock-eyed optimism as a fan.

I find that different to some twitter hipster acting like any of the wham he’s chatted is ‘realistic’ in the slightest.

I don’t want to come across as negative because I’m not but I really, really hope that Ange works out and we don’t have a Nuno part 2 situation going on. Not that I think they’re anywhere near the same, but the embracing of him has been so big and swift that it would be a massive shame if it ended really badly.

I do think it’s fantastic though that it seems almost everyone has quickly gotten behind him and ready to let him rip. I just hope that support stays when we invariably have some rough matches or spells.

I think this is an important part.

I can't remember much love for Nuno from the off so he had his back to the wall straight away.

Ange has most on side through either how he likes to play football or winning them round with his attitude.

He's starting with a lot more goodwill than Nuno ever had.

Nuno was six feet under before he even started. Leaving aside his outdated football ideas and dour personality, everyone knew that about six other managers were offered the job before him.

He was a substitute teacher and the whole world knew it. When you hire a manager it should be because you believe in them and their ideas, not just to keep the seat warm.

Personally I don't care too much about the win/loss situation. As long as we play attacking attractive football, I will be happy..
It's all down to Ange now....

Where Mourinho and Conte failed, definitely an obscure manager like Postecoglou will succeed :contehmm:

Guy thinks Yokohama or Kangaroo FC is comparable to Premier League :harrylol::harrylol:
Mourhino and Conte came in on the back of winners CV's albeit at risk of nearing their sell by date. I was surprised Conte came in at all not so with the way it turned out, it's happened at all the clubs he's been at and was accelerated by a catastrophic series of events....at least he got us back in the top 4 even if the style of football was shit.

Mourhino was much more easy to predict, without bags of money (even in his prime) he is nothing and that was never going to happen with our owners. Add to him being a despicable duplicitous cnut who eventually throws most of his players under a bus and transforms the dressing room into a breeding ground for toxicity he probably outstayed his welcome by circa 16 and a half months.

As Big Ange predicted all the so called pundits have him written off already with us finishing mid table, but Ange will love this and it will totally motivate him

Who can say.

It's bsck to reality for us somewhat and although we still have good players, this club has always had a shining beacon.

We need to see one emerge and if that comes during Postecoglou's reign he will have a chance.

The truth of how well we are doing will be how quickly fans forget Kane.
