Son and Kulu looked lost on Sunday
I think he’s either going to tweak his tactics to accommodate them or gradually replace them with pure wingers like Gil and Solomon before next summer.
It's been 1 match. 1!

Carragher actually talks quite a bit of sense which is easy to miss with that accent.Carragher is the one pundit who doesn't seem to hate our guts, he had Maddison as the signing of the window, and I know he also praised Romero a lot.
Try listening to Scottish pundits if it’s morons you are looking forCarragher actually talks quite a bit of sense which is easy to miss with that accent.
The Sky pundits in general are actually quite good, you Brits don't know how good you have it, you should see some of the morons we have to deal with over here.
Absolutely right. Reasons to be cheerful - not writing us off.Club before manager of course. However, for their tenure the manager is, in many respects, the embodiment of the club. The manager, dictates the style of football and quite a lot of how communication with fans and media are handled.
One of the main reasons many here love Ange so early on is that his football philosophy clearly aligns itself very closely with’To Dare is to Do’. As opposed to Conte and Jose who were first and foremost defensive of their own reputations and set themselves up to run the team accordingly. Success is not guaranteed with Ange, as it never has been with Spurs. But I have faith again that we’ll bust a gut trying and that’s how it should be.
I agree about supporting the club not just the manager but also, support the manager - unless he's a cunt.
But if you can't name them, are we sure they really exist?
I agree and I really wanted Nagelsmann.I can't put my finger on why, but he just feels 'right'. Far more so than Nagelsmann would've felt (imo).
To be honest, Brentford were very organised and set up very well against sides trying to do what we were trying to do.Son and Kulu looked lost on Sunday

There's a reason that Brentford have only lost twice at home in the last two seasons. They are incredibly solid defensively and fully willing to soak up pressure. To be honest, Brentford were very organised and set up very well against sides trying to do what we were trying to do.
I re-watched the game yesterday they were so compact.
Kulu and Son will be better in other games but that isn't to say they won't be replaced.
Carragher is the one pundit who doesn't seem to hate our guts, he had Maddison as the signing of the window, and I know he also praised Romero a lot.
I do like Carragher, only downside is the weird bromance he has with that fucking Weasel Garry Neville. Having said that I do like the Overlap interviews but as a pundit he's a fucking whiny sanctimonious United shill, and I'd rather someone else presented that show.
Eh, hardly covered himself in class with that incident but to be honest I'm more fed up with these twats who wind up celebrities on camera in the street trying to bait a reaction, they'd never be brave enough to front it up face-to-face with the camera switched off and no mates around to witness, so resort to cowardice. Note the twat driving the car was more than happy to put his daughter in the firing line so he could score a bit of "bantz" for his instagram.

EDIT: what's that age old expression, "chat shit get banged"?
I'm no Carra fan and think what he did was disgusting but there will be plenty that like him despite that incident. You might be fed up with baiters but there is no defending or deflecting from what Carragher did. You said you like him?
Besides all the possession and passing numbers, thought we did a good job with a press and quickly winning the ball back after losing possessi
Maybe Postecoglou will do everything his fans say but how does anyone know at this point if his tactics will transfer to the Premier League? All this "Big Ange" stuff is good PR by a coach intelligent enough to play to the crowd. "Big Ange won't put up with Levy", "If they don't get on board Big Ange will run them off", "Players will run through walls for "Big Ange". The reality is Postecoglou will work well with Levy because he's willing to do things on the cheap. Probably was happy enough to see Kane off because he didn't fit his system. As for getting rid of players, how is that going to work? You have to sell them first and thatThings are different with Ange - forget what’s gone before for Spurs, forget Kane, forget any problems that have previously held you back.
I really don’t get the pessimism of not getting fully on the Ange-bus.
Get carried away because ANYTHING is possible with this man - I know I sound like a crazy brainwashed moron but it’s true.
Believe me, at some point you will get it and you will believe you can win the CL with him.
There is a reason the Aussies, Japanese and now the Celtic fans are following him!
Just enjoy the ride cause when he moves on you will be that heartbroken that you will act like an Uber fan-boy on another clubs forum![]()
He doesn't get you. He gets football. He will spray the platitudes around - as is his job - but he is no Spurs fan. Heard it all from him at Celtic. Identical to what he is doing at Spurs. It's a job to him, end of story. That's not a criticism, it's realism. But, the guy is honest and will give you everything. He'll be off as soon as a bigger job comes. And it will. Ange is career minded, he has zero loyalty to any club but in fairness, he will give his job everything - that's all it is to him, a job. Football is his loyalty.
It's down to if his system works and we won't know begin to know that until the second time through the schedule. In the Premier League he's up against better coaches and staffs than he faced in other leagues and they will develop answers to his tactics. Whether he can adjust when that happens is an open question. What intrigues me though is that Celtic fans are used to winning things whatever people outside of Scotland may think of the league up there. If they’re coming on here singing the praises of Ange then he did something special up there that they weren’t used to, whilst still cleaning up domestically.
I can’t see they’d join a forum and repeatedly bang the Ange drum if they weren’t genuinely impressed by what he achieved there. They’d be bored with trolling by now.
I don’t think any Spurs fan is hailing him as the messiah, but the positivity of the man himself and the football we’ve seen so far lends support to what these guys are saying about him as a manager.
The Kane saga aside, I’m in upbeat mode about the season. We need to spend the Kane money and wisely, but I see no reason to piss on the parade after one very promising game and 37 more to look forward to.
What IF Ange is everything people say he is, and we make significant progress this season?
Happy clappy perhaps, but I’m very optimistic right now.
I suspect you are right about him not minding Kane leaving. With Postecoglou it is all about his system. But we don't know if that system works. We know what we had in Harry Kane. What we saw on the weekend is not even close to what Angeball actually is.
There seems to be a fixation after from the media and even the players themselves on possession. This is misguided.
Prior to joining Celtic, Postecoglou was hired by City Football Group to manage the club they part own in Japan. He was part of their system and their philosophy.
CFG believes in "effective possession". This is not the same as peak Barcelona tika taka.
Effective possession isn't ponderous, slow, backwards and sidewards passing. Its not the midefielders doing the Busquets-Xavi tango where they knock a dozen one-touch 3 feet long passes to each other. Its not slow wingers who can't beat their man or track back or put in a cross or a cut back, or full backs who don't overlap or don't cut inside, or a striker who doesn't make timed run or has a good first touch or clinical finish. We saw all of this on the weekend.
Postecoglou was asked what pleased him on the weekend. He said "The effort of the players". That is not a complement. In fact this is as critical of the players in the media that he gets. Player effort is a non-negotiable minimum expectation he has.
But right now, because he knows all about dressing room player power, he knows that he is seen as a nobody, he knows his position is somewhat vulnerable so he is yet to let loose on the players. He wants to win the players over, the ones who buy in anyway.
Bit by bit, he will cull those who don't fit, as much as he's allowed to by the owner.
As for Kane leaving, I don't think he was phased in the slightest. You can tell from his public comments-let the fans grieve- but he won't, not in the slightest.
That’s my favourite part of him
