He's actually a Port Vale fan and Alfie D has just gone on loan there.

Aw go on...belt out the Ange song. You'll feel amazing!Someone said it on the commentary for one of our games, might have been Peter Drury, something to the tune of "Spurs have been THE club of false dawns".
I like Ange, and I believe in the philosophy of the football he plays as the path forward. I am very happy for the positive start giving him a bit of breathing room in what could have been an uncomfortable situation with the Kane departure.
That's as far as I'm allowing myself to go.
You have a deal. £20 to a charity we choose.

Thanks for posting it. Such an attractive philosophy of football (and life):
“If you dig into the most successful coaches, it's more than just winning. Most people want to be part of something that’s more powerful than saying, 'We want to win this weekend.' Every team in the world wants to win. That’s not what sets you apart, that’s not what’s going to get your players and staff motivated to come into work the next day…
… For us, our utopia is playing the kind of football that means our supporters don’t sit down for 90 minutes. When you’re striving for something like that, I think it gets people motivated to work and look forward to that buzz that’s more important than winning.”
He's born in Greece, though, and went to Oz at 5.
So, just like the Greeks and Makedonians are still arguing over the origin of Alexander III of Macedon AKA Alexander the Great...the Greeks and the Aussies will now be arguing over the nationality of Ange and whether he should be called Ange or Angelos...![]()

Australia is a pretty xenophobic country and the Australian football media drove him out of the national side and shortly after he left the country for Japan. He obviously loves his cricket and would support the Australian team but he takes his holidays in Greece not Melbourne, if that’s an indication of where his heart lies.
Andy Murray Syndrome
Send for Stavros.....If he succeeds he is Aussie. If he fails, he is Greek.

It is xenophobic, you ask anyone outside of the inner city enclaves who isn’t white and they will tell you so. I live in Victoria and the amount of white supremacist activity has only increased the last few years, especially in the western suburbs of Melbourne, driven by young, white men. Anyway, I’m sure this all interesting for the Spurs fans on here.Ever considered that he takes his holidays in Greece instead of Melbourne because he lived so much of his life in Melbourne? I also live in Melbourne, it is the biggest Greek city in the world outside of Greece and the 3rd biggest Greek city overall. But I wouldn't have a "staycation" here as great as it is when there are other places to see.
As to your claims of Australia being a "pretty xenephobic country, " well that is quite a complex discussion out here at present. I think it is fair to say that older Australians are rather racist (not all, this is obviously a generalisation) whilst those under 40, even 50 are much more liberal. I am not saying that you are wrong, but I am saying things are changing. We are trying to, as of now give our First Nations people a greater say in their own affairs via an upcoming referendum to change the Constitution. It will likely fail off the back of an ageing population who are rooted in British imperialism. If the vote was just those under 50 it would pass very easily.

I am Greek Cypriot descent. Please dont lump us in the oppressed category. We created the western world. Another massive revisionist guilt ridden hand wringing take on the Australian national identity, I'll be voting no, not because I am racist it's because "the voice" is not elected and it will be a political organisation accountable to who? No one knows! There is no system in place to elect delegates to the voice, it will somehow be appointed magically, if the various traditional ownership groups of Australia want representation in Canberra they need to come up with an electoral system where voice delegates can be held accountable by their constituents, the feel good vibe of the voice needs some real nuts and bolts if it wants to succeed as a representative body next to an elected Parliament.Ever considered that he takes his holidays in Greece instead of Melbourne because he lived so much of his life in Melbourne? Yeah I know, you guys have had your fair share of rightwing political parties. I only brought it up in the context of national identity, which is something I struggle with myself in terms of being an immigrant to Australia who has frequently been made to feel unwelcome. It is fickle, because like The Cryptkeeper said (although presumably with tongue in cheek), if you're a success you're embraced as an Australian. That's probably pretty common the world over.I am Greek Cypriot descent. Please dont lump us in the oppressed category. We created the western world. We arent victims.
Also, i can promise you Greeks are far more racist than Australians
