Can't stop watching that fifth goal.

What a team. What a coach. I've gone from actively wanting international breaks to stop me from tuning into Spurs last season to wanting to hurry up and fuck up.

Ange doesn’t work like that. As the league table is irrelevant until the season ends.

Every game is taken on an individual basis and approached and played the same way - regardless of the opposition - you’ll see what I mean when you play City.

The way his teams play NEVER changes and no one can stop it 👍👍👍
He was stopped easily in the CL with Celtic. Also by Real and West Ham in preseason games. He does approach every game the same in respecting the opposition but he’s not so stupid as to not pay attention to preserving young players.

You mean Barca? That was a late game capitulation thanks in no part to Dier after Ange had made a raft of subs.

West Ham hit us with basically three counter goals, when we absolutely mullered their goal in the second half. And Both were games where we were learning the new system.

We will get hit on the counter due to the style. The gamble is that we will create huge amounts of chances.

My t-shirt arrived yesterday 🎶

Admin Admin should start stocking these with “mate” on the back :ange-arms:

No, I meant when he was at Celtic. Preseason of his second year there. Just to illustrate that his system ultimately doesn’t work against sides with better talent. They end up being brave games full of enthusiasm but the class wins in the end. He’s never had this level of talent as he does at Spurs to work with before. The sky really is the limit as long as he can get the team he wants.

Nuno had a really good start to the season
Conte had a really good start to the season

The difference is that the football has actually been sublime since Ange took the reigns. Fair play. Maddison looks like he’s been here for years.

But lets just keep our heads down and not blow our loads just yet. Lets keep her steady now

It is really impressive how quickly he implemented his style of play. And particularly so when you consider all the other new head-coaches at Spurs in recent time.
And not once has he blamed the squad (not yet at least) or the lack of winning spirit. It’s still early days but still…

Even when we got off to a good start with Conte I was really concerned with our performances. Thought we had a few great escapes.

The football we are playing under Ange is night & day compared to Conte/Nuno despite similar points on the board at this stage.

The other thing is we are still in our infancy and judging by Ange's interviews, he doesn't strike me as someone who gets ahead of himself.

One game at a time kind of gaffer. Love him!

People say we had a great start under Conte, and pointswise it's true, but literally in the second game vs Chelsea they played us off the park, just near complete domination, and we've managed to steal a point (with the help of some VAR controversy).

The crazy thing is it has only come in fits and starts so far. Yes that's kind of how football works but we only put it together yesterday between 30 mins and 70 and blew those fuckers away.
Yeah, I personally was quite annoyed at the second goal we conceded (FPL aside). Really took the foot off the gas, while Burnley were absolutely running their hearts out trying to salvage a bit of pride.

I'd have liked to see us use that extra 20 mins to play more purposefully as a training session. It came across as a bit lazy and arrogant to me.

Will earn much more cachet producing this kind of football in the prem.

El Al EndlessCash can fuck off, if they get a sniff and fancy a bit of Big Angeball(s).

What's the point of taking each game on an individual basis but playing it the same way ? I don't believe that.

Football is played at both ends of the pitch. I wouldn't say our defending has been sublime .

I'm still upset over the team selection for the midweek cup exit as I believe it was a real shot at silverware.

However, if we continue to play football with the style, belief and passion I saw yesterday. I think we are well on our way to creating some good times to come. And I'm willing to be patient whilst he builds a team in his vision.

Winning is good. But winning whilst scoring those goals and the excitement for the next game is worth much more than what we've had to endure the last few years.
