Injuries is a big thing but it's a squad issue. VDV injured Davies steps in huge downgrade. Madders injured Gio steps up who's been ok but not same level. Benta injured Hojberg comes in who doesn't suit us at all.
Solomon and Perisic injured means Johnson has to play on the left (not his natural position) and then the other forward options are Gil (not good enough) Veliz (to young and raw as fuck) Kulu (not good enough) and Richie (awful). Son great with space but always will struggle against deep blocks who out muscle him.
Lack of depth and serious firepower upfront are killing us. The system ain't the issue if we had madders and Bentancur running the show and quality in those wide areas we will instantly convert so much more into goals.
Instead we have Johnson and Kulu tonight who either wasted or killed anything going to them and no options other then Gil to replace them.
The Gio one definitely but he's probably trying to manage his mins, we got loads of matches coming up and if he goes down we are fekd, he's our only creative player.

And some of them have worked. It was only 4 days ago he was getting praised for bringing Hojbjerg on and changing it up against City in order to get a result.
In game management is shit. Got his gung ho approach and if that doesn't work he hasn't got a clue what to do. It may be more attacking but ultimately I think it will all end in tears again down the line with no silverware. Some may be happy to just play attacking football and lose I crave a bit more than that.
Think we’ve gotten to the point when we can’t blame the injuries for the defeat. Ange ball or whatever, we cannot keep dropping points like this and fail to see through an early advantage.
