You mean like Newcastle that just lost 3-0 at Everton and are below us in the table? Even though they are 2 years deep into a project and people were picking them to challenge for the prem?
Difference is Everton played well, and we just gifted Spammers two free goals from zero chances created.

There needs to beome variation. I dont buy into this religious approach of playing a certain way all the time every time. I was one of the few who thought the highline against Chelsea was stupid. We kept that game 1-1 until the 75th minute mark, we should have dropped deeper and forced Chelsea to do what they struggle to - break teams down, while taking advantage of their nervousness of the fact they HAD to win the game two men to the good. But we conceded the second goal from a simple ball over the top, square pass and tap in.

Its one thing to play like this with Celtic, as the opposition dont have the quality to fight back. However even a against a team like West Ham. They have Paqaueta, Kudus, JWP, Bowen, two giant centre half for set piece delivers. They have quality to create moments and seize them. If the opposition manager can guess our patterns of play, they have an advantage.

I wonder how Newcastle will set up, knowing there is little variation to our game.

To say there's no variation to our game is absolute bollocks though.

We've switched things up numerous times in games throughout the season. Most of the time, it's seen us win games, kill games off or turn games around.

Tonight it simply didn't work.

And some of them have worked. It was only 4 days ago he was getting praised for bringing Hojbjerg on and changing it up against City in order to get a result.

Waste of breath.

May as well let Spurs fans be Spurs fans.

Levy is the one that matters now. Does he have the conviction to stick with a very good manager through a rough patch ?

I hope so. I look at the Villa game and city second half and see really positive signs.

Backing a manager does not exclude being honest and realistic in our assessment.

I don't want him sacked or booed off.

But things definitely have to improve. This is an unacceptable run of performances.

We've seen exactly what we could be under Ange.

Yet we know the personnel for the most part aren't up for it bar a select few. January is very very important.
