My point wasn't to try and ram home that our performances in those games were all amazing (they weren't).

...Just that the idea that we've been "found out" is overzealous and premature because we're still learning what we are and what we need to be.

........Meanwhile; if people are in the business of trying to establish the idea that either a) we haven't played well at all this season or that b) we are max'd out already in terms of Ange and what he can continue to build as we progresse from trf window to trf window then i strongly disagree.

I am pretty certain nobody has said that. I don’t see anyone losing faith in him.

Results were great but i think way too much has been made of those first 10 games. Today wasnt much different to Sheff Utd, we struggled against 9 man Liverpool, Brentford was a typical 1st game of the season, fairly non descript wins against Bournemouth and Fulham who were both struggling at the time.

We were only at our best 2nd half v Utd, 60 mins against Woolwich (best of the season imo) and all but the first 15 mins against Burnley. Our passing and movement was a bit crisper but we weren't amazing, we generally just found a way.

You make good points.

Also sort of proves the point that we haven't actually been "found out at all" Because performances really aren't much different. Like you say, today really wasn't much different to Sheff Utd. Except Luton did actually try and play at times but we dominated both games, went behind but came back because we are actually pretty good when we want to be.

We aren't exactly lightning in first halves, tend to do better in second halves and create enough chances that even when teams are hard to break down, we find a way. (for the most part)

That's been the case all season. Bar a few games where we have been on it from the jump.

I think the one biggest difference from the beginning of the season to now is teams simply aren't afraid. At the beginning, I got the feeling teams were worried about attacking or leaving gaps due to our attack. Whereas now, they know we can be got at and can give up chances

In time, better squad of players and we'll get to a stage where teams will be worried again.

Yeah fair enough. I suspect our football early on took a few by surprise, the naivety from Burnley for example or Woolwich's arrogance but if you are on it and everyone is on form opposition knowing your tactics is largely irrevelant. I think we've had too many players not on it for a good few weeks, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulu, maybe even Porro not quite at the level he was showing. Ange needs time and better more suited, more consistant players for this to really work so fingers crossed.

I completely agree; in particular our MF they were dominating... Which is why I can't lay our decline predominantly at the feet of Ange being "found out". The majorly disruptive injury and ban bomb that decimated our momentum half way through the chav game was clearly a major factor and the most troubling part is that the previously mentioned players are struggling to replicate their individual form now we finally have a full compliment squad again.

Momentum is massive.

I said I think his gameplan has been found out yeah (based on continuing evidence) , but I’m not losing faith in him at all. The johnson sub at half time proved he knows how to change things to win games.

Not attributing all that to you, mate.

But in terms of what you did say; I don't think him being "found out" is either the full story nor entirely accurate....

Sure; people know more about how he plays than they did (that's inevitable); but "found out" is a bit more terminal than that..... At least it certainly sounds that way to me.

Being Found Out is when you link iMessage to the TV then message the side chick when you go to the bathroom, and up it pops for the everyone to read. Plan B is escaping out the window when your ex-boxing champ father in law bashes on the door. Ange is too big to fit through my bathroom window.

"being found out" about our goal scoring route?..... >80% of all Spurs goals are banged in from the flanks then slotted from the box.

we hardly score from Free Kicks or bang from outside the box. That's why we struggled against all the small & lower table teams who camped in their box and we made them seemed like world beaters. Wolves lost again to Aston Villa. Brighton is gonna get done by liverfool tomorrow.

besides our ultra high line, is there more to ANge Ball?

Ange isn't my kind of manager i want someone shouting and pointing when thing are wrong, maybe he see players as needing arms round them not shouting at ?
what gets me is we give the ball to CH and there is never the early ball over the top, no TV you often see players making early runs but the ball never goes, they can't be looking at this in training
watch Remero he has the ball the most, he looks and looks for a pass, then its normally a safe easy pass Why ? is it no one moving, or he can't see them, is it they are marked , what are they doing in training to counter these problems ?

We are one of the highest scoring teams from set pieces in the prem

Read the quotes and you’ll understand that what you think is “found out”, is really a game model.

Unless teams are brave enough to come at us like Villa did, we need to keep the tempo up to wear them out. It’s happened that way so many times this season too. We can’t control the way teams play us and if they focus on destroying to counter, or if they want to use their most intense burst to start the game…

but either way they are being forced to play to our game model and in the end, the longer the game goes on, the more likely we are to win.

Absolutely no way was ange happy with the first half. Second half yes because we played with pace
Plus we need someone more clinical upfront.

Happy is the wrong word. We were 1-0 down, he’s never going to be happy with that.

Tbh I didn’t see the game but what he’s said there is that he didn’t think the football in the first half was the big issue. He was pissed with the goal we conceded and not finishing chances but everything else fits within the plan and model of how we want to control games.

What people are missing is that often the second half improvement happens because the opposition have used so much energy in the first half

I seen it. It was poor. Werner and son had chances but it was poor.
