Ange has done well everywhere he's gone, which deserves respect but the J-league, Aussie and SPL are an entirely different level. Look at what Gerrard - SPL winner - did with Villa who are now flying under Emery.
hes probably baffled how his one plan that worked against all the pub sides hes played before is struggling in the premier league.

hes managed one european side and that was in scotland so doesn't really count, its basically championship/league 1 level football.

hes not good enough and never has been. if ben davies is good enough for spurs then we really are in the muck. hes always been a bottom half level player at best. nice guy gave it his all, bla bla bla...not good enough!
Nobody’s arguing that’s he’s the best left back in the world or he ever has been , but he’s played over 200 games for us and several managers have relied on him so I’d say they trusted him to do a job.

The other thing I want to say is about comparisons. A lot of people are making comparisons with Pep, Klopp and Arteta. But the manager that Ange reminds me most of is AVB - very wedded to one way of playing, likes the high line, really into 'philosophy' and 'mentality', both had limited playing experience, both from smaller leagues. The strongest thread is how stubborn they both were/are in sticking to their way of seeing the game, and that the fanbase became divided very quickly. Ange's football is better to watch than AVB's though and he doesn't have superstar Bale to keep digging him out of a hole.

Unlike many, I didn’t mind AVB, but comparison’s to his methodology are lazy and inaccurate.

Ange’s approach is much less risk averse, takes different approaches (shapes, methods) to build up and transition.

The truth is, proactive teams can always look a bit laboured when playing against bus parks, especially when they don’t have quality creative players.

Again, I apologise king, I shall try to keep my misery in check going forward.

Anything in particular you would like me to change my opinion on that would make it less miserable for your forum experience?

Tell you what Shady, from now on, I will just parrot whatever you believe and think, we might even end up best friends? How amazing would that be!

For a start please change your username, it's annoying.

Secondly you should allow yourself to have some PMA when you post and try not to come across as a teenage girl when you post about Spurs.

After you've done that I might think about us being friends, you're gonna have to wait though I've got a long list of people on here asking the same thing.

Not so much approach - styles v different ofc - but the dedication to a set of principles and, some might say, inflexibility.

Shady is a lone wolf

he has no time for friends

It would distract him from his mission

Sir, this is a football forum.

Take your political nonsense to your nearest Old Firm forum and fuck off.

Ok, Timothy, let me get this straight. I come on here to contribute to the discussion of Angie becoming your new manager, and then some of your own cunts bring in your called 'political nonesense' which I had originally no fuckigng interest in.

And you, rather than get on the cunts backs who started it, get on on mine while totally ignoring pricks like the Celtic supporting nicolaeson.

Wanker!

Everyone who has an opposing opinion to you is talking with their "fanny" and a bunch of "teenage girls" and I have to say, I respect that about you, you're asserting dominance over the wet wipes!

You're right though, people should take a page from your book and have the emotional maturity and integrity that you exhibit on a daily basis, the forum would be a far better place.

Tell you what, I will change my name to Shady's bestie once you clear a spot up for me, I will write it in my diary hehe.

Ange has predicted how we will go this season and also how we go forward, last season we finished 8th playing horrific football this year it looks like we will finish 5th playing much better football. Let’s allow him at least another window, let’s not forget he has only really took in 6 player/s and the rest of the squad he inherited. I totally believe he will have us challenging for trophies in the next year or too

I was furious when I knew we were after him.

Never wanted him.

Now he's here and I've had a close look at what's at the heart of his WAY, I'm happy to ride it out into next season and give him the chance to iron out the creases.

for me, he's earned that.

Summer is crucial, tho.

He cannot afford to missfire with new signings.
Yeah no more timo’s or Johnson’s need proper quality and that does not mean £50M on Gallagher.

Well put. I think Ange needed a decent uptick at the end of season to justify sticking with him and investing in his project. IF we get 6 or more points from the last games, and play well in all games, then fair enough. back the guy. If not, I'm leaning towards sacking him.

The most worrying thing is the players' apparent lack of motivation. That speaks to an increasingly unhappy camp, and things going wrong.
Yeah even if the tactics are shite surely he can motivate the players to put the effort in , press , run more than the oppo, etc. we ain’t seen any of that !

Yes and some of the players he wanted have really worked out right?

It's clear Ange is obsessed with his PRICIPLE.

Ingraining the central mechanics of his game before anything else.

He warned us about it when he came here.

He was very honest and up front.

And is still making that clear.

I absolutely don't agree with the way he's dealt with the set-piece issue, but I'm willing to give him time to fix it.

Fans from celtic came on here and said we'd get spanked around sometimes, but to stick with it and it will all come together.

I can see that happening if he has a good summer and brings in tech players.

Because his system in the prem MUST have that.

The crunch, for me, is the summer window.

I'd like to think the way we're ending the season is ringing alarm bells for him, that he needs to go that extra yard in sourcing proper talent (with Lange) and beat it out of Baldy.

I think there's much more value in just sitting tight and waiting a while longer, than restarting the whole manager process again.

Because the fans are stuck in a cycle of wanting NEW, expecting the short term to bring you success.

Rarely works that way; especially for a club with a baldcunt at the wheel.
Were Celtic getting spanked?
You say let him bring in technical players. Well he wanted and pushed for BJ and Timo both not really up there on the technical side. Even mahrez from city would have done a better job! Then we go onto his live in for Gallagher who won’t even be able to get past hendo in the England squad.
