Both appointments won the fans back on side without the need to adequately invest in the squad..... Come on man... You already know this.

Or, if not, why do you think he hired to serial winning cheque book managers only to lock the cheque book in the safe?

What is 'adequate investment'?

Seems like we have invested here

Your arguments aren't making much sense.

He hired Jose/Conte to heighten expectation because he didn't want to adequately invest, yet he hired Ange to lower expectation even though he backed him like no other manager previously?

Sorry what are we doing here?

Where did I claim he hired Jose / Conte /Nuno to heighten expectation???

I never said any such thing :harrylol: ......you're all over the place old man.

Anyway. I'll ask again.....Why do you think the most austere chairman in the Premier League hired not one but two so called cheque book managers?

And, while we're at it....why do you think both managers subsequently failed for the first and only time in their careers?

Nuno? Who's talking about Nuno? Do you know what you're even talking about, do you want me to give you a minute to delete the post again and re-write it again?

If your implication that he hired Ange to 'lower expectation' then why did he hire Conte/Jose?

Question: what do you think it is that is underpinning Ange's bullish talk about "winning"/title?

Because he must have done his research on what type of chairman Balcunt is.

I get being positive; fine.

But, he's done a lot of talking that our modus is unlikely to be able to cater for.

Is he just a deluded cocky show-off, or does he actually have the magic sauce to catapult a Daniel Levy spurs into a new era? 🪄

I already answered this in my reply to you. .....On this very page. :sonlol:

Give your head a wobble, man. You're all over the shop!

Now. For the third time......Why do you think the most austere chairman in the Premier League hired not one but two so called cheque book managers.?

And why did they both subsequently fail for the first and only time in their careers?

This is funny..

So according to you he hired Jose and Conte so he didn't need to adequately invest in the squad yet he hired Ange to 'lower expectations' even though he's given Ange the most money he's ever given any manager, what?

Also lol apparently getting the fans back onside means something different to 'heightened expectations when it's literally the same fucking thing. 😆

Lay off the crack and I'm not gonna answer your question until you answer mine:

What is 'adequate investment'?

Wow. BRUTAL.

Royally ended him tbf.

So. Why did the most austere chairman in the Premier League hire not one but two cheque book managers?

And why did they both fail for the first and only time in their careers working for him?

Manchester City may target Ange Postecoglou if Pep Guardiola leaves next year - and the Tottenham Hotspur boss would reportedly be interested.

Here’s another version:

Manchester City may target Mikel Arteta if Pep Guardiola leaves next year - and the Woolwich boss would reportedly be interested.

Exact opposite of redknapp back in January of 2011.
You wonder if it's a sign of the times though, that the England manager job is far less attractive to a coach in current employment than it was then?

Btw, it was January 2012 it went to shit.
Interesting just how good the first half of that season was. Lost the first 2, then won 13 out of the first 19. 2 more than Ange managed last season.
And then he apparently decided to stop working because......England. Prat. We probably would have finished in the top 3 had he not done that, he wouldn't have lost his job and he might have more to his name than 2 good seasons at Spurs for his career.
