There's some problems with his approach for me, the main issues are his decision making, but I said that things a lot in here. Now I will give him credit, we created a lot again yesteday and we get constantly in good positions most games. What gets me annoyed is we lose too many chances, we got in good positions and didn't finish the chances and we keep on delivering good crosses that no one is in the right place to finish. We should be doing a lot better with our chances or we'll keep on losing and drawing games we could easily win, but that is a player's problem.

I agree with you. This squad has a few coach killers.

I've posted the Pep quote about that but even Unay Emery said the same to his players very early on- its the players job to finish the chances not the manager. Emery even questioned their mentality.

Postcoglou hasn't put the responsibility on the players yet, preferring to shield them publically. That tends to be his style. Its also been his style to coldly tell players-even the alphas- they're not in his plans so they better look for another club.

So many deluded posters. The table has already taken shape, with the contenders in the top 5 or 6 positions. Spurs are way off it. We are well on the way to being a Gerry Francis era mid table hot and cold mediocre outfit.
We were in second after 5 games last season. Newcastle, United and Chelsea were 12th, 13th and 14th respectively.

Need I remind you that we did not finish 2nd. And the other three finished right behind us.

There’s a long way to go.

we had 1 good half, then the srcond half was back to what we have seen most of the last year, lots of possession going sidewards & backwards, Yet many on here seem to think the team has changed
Yes it was a good first half,

Yes it was a good first half,

I think the players get tired. The first half intensity is unsustainable. If we take all the chances it might no matter but we don't take all the chances. At 2-1 it did feel for an awfully long time the match was not over.

I’d like to say that you wouldn’t know at games that there was any problem with Ange from the fans. His song is sung and everyone seems happy with him. I think it really is more online than actually at games. Interesting as it’s something to remember that reality is sometimes more important. Armchair fans don’t get to see the whole picture at games.
the Ange song ..😂

I'm not sure why it's funny? It's an obvious barometer of how the fans in the stadium are feeling as a whole.

You don't sing the name of a guy you want sacked. I thought last week we'd start hearing less of it with the performances being ropey but it was even more persistent this week than the Everton game.
Don't stone me!
I've already expressed my opinion on possession football.
This isn't meant to be off topic, I just want to explain my opinion.

On Saturday I was at Eintracht's game against Mönchengladbach.
Last season the coach had us play possession football.
From the halfway line the ball was mostly played back, the strikers could have been replaced by spectators because they were only on the field on "short-time work" anyway.

This type of football was initially viewed with surprise, but then heavily criticized.
We knew Eintracht with a different style, which was also successful.

In the game against Gladbach we took control from the start. High pressing, Gladbach got into real trouble and the fans' push made it an absolutely brilliant game.
Even though we let ourselves go in the second half, we deservedly won 2-0 with the goal in the 80th minute.

Last season we had an average of 54% possession. We came 6th but with only 47 points.
That means: others were fortunately even weaker than us!

This season, Eintracht won 3 out of 4 games, with an average of just 35% possession.

I mean: if we do that properly, then it should be easy for Tottenham Hotspur to show it. Tottenham is a completely different proposition to SGE in a much stronger league!

All of that, even though I'm still a fan of Ange.

I’m disappointed in Ange: the honest press conferences; the buck stops with me attitude; he blatantly said he doesn’t change then goes and does something different; the worldly view and support of his players and the sheer gall to try and implement a winning attitude at Spurs. As that circus dwarf with a glory hole for a mouth Rory Jennings says, Ange out!

I'm glad he changed it up a bit.
