Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think only Jose from our recent managers is/was proactive and would be willing to change tactics when things were not going well (in game).

Ange watches it and doesn't do anything and then he randomly does weird substitutions when we are losing and the game is done. He randomly starts taking attacking (crrative) players off when we need a goal.

Yep Jose was proactive, but that didn't stop the football or the results being awful

Jose was the most soul destroyingly stubborn manager we’ve had other than Conte.

He refused to play Bale, Son and Kane together, ever

People keep saying “oh he needs to do this, needs to identify that, needs to change this”

He’s in his second season and is getting progressively worse. His tactics are all over the place and we look like a frail team that can get rolled over by any club in this league.

Zero personality unless it comes to talking about himself. Dont know the bloke. Dont know what this fraud has ever achieved in managing but he seems to tell us it’s a lot.

gone tonight please and get potter or poch back.

Yeah that was so frustrating, what a front 3 not to play together just to prove some point
Worth the sack alone outside of the results
Inwould have played Bale in midfield, anywhere. Physical strength and pace aside, also a quality footballer who always had time and passed the ball superbly. That team was ugly and he could have improved most positions

Meh, 7 games is whatever.
Ok but last season when we had the best start in PL it was different story innit.
The premier league is predictable and we aren’t meant to win it.
We probably aren’t, but we’ve been close once or twice. I’d like to at least experience that again even if we won’t win it.
Only the cups and Europe are worth the effort .
We won’t win shit with this system imo. When it really starts to matter in later stages, one wrong step and you’re out. At the moment we don’t show any consistency that could give me hope that we won’t fuck up in one of those knock out games.

I'm not going to go mad tonight in the same way I didn't go giddy-eyed when we beat United last week.

And it was pleasing if predictable that Postecoglpu was less than impressed.

For me it mostly falls with him and the so-called experienced players.

Manage the game effectively and draw the sting, especially at 2 up and away from home.

But part of that must be messaging and in that regard Postecoglou must know by now that we don't have players who can just be relied on to do the business.

It's a roller coaster season ahead. No doubt in my mind about that.

Whether that is viewed aspart of whatever the process or stagnation we shall see.

It's absolutely why Roy Keane is never convinced by us. This kind of stuff is always nearby.

That's back when I first starting watching football after I retired. The Bale situation was confusing because I would see him do things on the pitch very few others could do, but he was always one foot in and one foot out of the starting team. I remember reading things at the time which made me think he was not fully committed to being as good as his talents suggested. I don't think we'll ever know a lot of what went on back then.

Least he knows it was unacceptable.
Was a little concerned that he'd come out and say we were unlucky,or should have won it bar a couple of lapses.

"It was disappointing and I’m absolutely gutted with that," said Postecoglou.

"It's an unacceptable second half - we were nowhere near where we should be. Maybe we got carried away with how we were going.

It’s a terrible loss for us, as bad as it gets, and there’s only one way to fix it and that’s my responsibility.

"We lost all our duels, we weren’t competitive and if you're not competitive, irrespective of what you do tactically, it is not going to work."

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣you are on one. The guy has more personality than any manager we’ve had since Venables. This manager has won at every level he’s been at and is only just over a year in at this level. Arteta and Klopp had won fuck all at this point.
