Just not quite sure what to make of Ange of the team really.

Sublime one week, absymal the next.

There are times when I think yeah we look like we are going places, and then other times we look like shite. When i lose all hope I get pulled back in.

Please let us go on a run now and find some consistency. Tonight is fantastic, however we need to back it up with some wins immediately.

No point doing this tonight and then rolling over v Fulham.

All week you were saying we'd get hammered by City and you were nearly looking forward to it so you could come on here and give it the big un.

We just had one of our best ever wins and you couldn't enjoy it. Call that shrink mate. I tried to warn you last week

I actually enjoyed it loads. You losers don't impact my ability to enjoy games in the real world at all, lol.

It was a really fun game where we played really well. I was pissing my sides at times because I couldn't believe it.

My not rating Ange as a coach doesn't impact my feeling during good performances anymore than my not rating Sherwood impacted me when we had some fun results under him. Today was great. Next week might not be. I'll consider changing my overall opinion if at the end of the season we're where we want to be. It's really that simple buddy.

you really are a fucking moron aren't ya hahahah. yea the most embarrassing game in the clubs history is the reason we beat a city side that is on its last legs and without the best player in the world! its lost its last 5 you idiot, going on like its fresh off winning the treble. clown.
And there it is...We need to prove it against a treble winning side in their prime with no missing players.

These people are becoming memes.

I'm still with you- waiting to see more signs of consistency before I'm back to Ange in.

They're obviously still good, and they have also lost their last five now including shipping 4 to Sporting Lisbon and losing to Bournemouth.

There's surely some sort of middle ground we can occupy here where we accept that yes, beating that team 4-0 at the Etihad is still brilliant, and yes we played really well but there's obviously something not quite right there with them. We took advantage of that wonderfully.

As has been said, we now need to follow up probably our best performance for years with a couple more league wins. I don't really care if said wins are scratchy affairs, but we need consistent points. Nobody plays like we did today every single week and nobody should expect it.

It's pretty simple. If your opinion on Ange was going to be changed or not based on one game, that opinion wasn't very strong anyway. I wouldn't expect people who are vehemently behind Ange to have abandoned him after last week either. Today was crazy good, but Ange himself said it right - it's his job to get them playing with consistency.

And all that is fine except...and I'm assuming here cos there is no way I was hanging around this place after the Ipswich result...but I'd wager all the convo on here the last two weeks has been that Ange can't do it, he's out of his league, etc, etc.

He goes to City and plays like that and people still can't enjoy it. It's all about City being without their players - despite us being without ours. City being over the hill, etc, etc, etc.

There's people on here who will NEVER give us any credit. It's pathetic

It doesn’t matter what I say. If I say City were crap and we were unlucky, you’ll cry. If I say well done we played well, you’ll cry.

That’s the way it is. This team can achieve great results but isn’t consistent. That’s what everyone wants to see now. Sort of pointless doing this if we then go to lose to a Fulham or Bournemouth.
I mean c’mon mate… a 4 nil win away to one of the best teams in the world for the last decade is “sort of pointless” if we lose next weekend? This is the whole point of supporting a club! It’s there to be enjoyed!!!! If all that matters is whatever high bar you’ve set up then why should 3/4 of the teams in the league even bother turning up?

It's obviously not sort of pointless from a fan enjoyment perspective, but in terms of progressing this season yeah .. beating a very good side and then losing straight away is sort of pointless. I think Ange would more or less agree given how pissed off he's seemed at our inconsistency.

Obviously enjoy today as a fan!! But we earned 3 points. Fulham next week is worth the same 3 points. Ipswich was worth the same again.

Fair play! Funny thing is, I think you’re the poster on here most aligned with Postecoglou’s mindset about winning haha

Up the victorious Spurs!
Bring on some bloody consistency!

It is amusing how the apparently shite players are dragged over hot coals when the results are embarrassing but on glorious nights like tonight it's down to Angelos.

I'm sure if we don't get 6 points from Fulham & Bournemouth it'll be down to those pesky shite players again.

Man you are thinking too deep about all this

Both Ange and the players are learning about each other as they go along. We will still be inconsistent this season. The squad still needs strengthening, the players here still need to show real balls in difficult situations during certain games, and Ange still has to work out how to deal with teams that play low block

Lots still to do, we are work in progress, and the fans have to be patient

Thats true but all 5 of our wins have been emphatic while our 5 defeats were nearly all games we should have won! So if your into looking at underlying metrics then its safe to presume that we have underperformed our underlying data and if them metrics balance out then we will start turning some of them defeats into wins while the emphatic wins will remain wins.

I'm not sure your smart enough to understand any of that but I tried my best
underlying data is not something to scoff at

It was mate. They were having a field day backing eachother up and laughing at anyone who was trying to be positive or constructive. Now they are all acting like a bunch of babies

How many players were we missing?

Were we or were we not missing both our first choice CBs?

Are you really playing this down because it's only Man City?

I've been down on Ange this season but if you can't even give him any credit at all tonight then... Meh. You sound like a parody of yourself.

Get used to it for a while.

The squad is still not strong enough to show the consistency that everyone wants
