This season we have won the same amount of games, conceded fewer goals and scored more goals than last season.

A win is obviously better than a draw. The point I am making is I enjoyed the game last night and I am enjoying the way we are playing this season.
You enjoyed the way we played at Galatasaray. The way we lost to Brighton. Scrambled a draw at Leicester. Bent over and handed Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town there first wins of the season!

Jesus Christ man! If it was an odd random one off then maybe. But this is every other week ffs

What a strange supporter.....

It’s so weird seeing people talk about the way Ange coaches football and the way Conte/Mourinho coach football and acting like it’s one or the other.

Like when people mention a flaw in Anges game plan it’s “would you rather go back to the days of Mourinho and play boring pragmatic football?”

There’s so many steps in between those style of managers, it doesn’t have to be a case of we either put everyone in your box, or we won’t cross the halfway line. There are good teams and managers who balance attack and defence and do both well. Seems obvious and yet sometimes you read on here and it’s as if only two types of coach exist.

Fair dinkum. Seriously? I’ve never heard Ange say style is more important than winning. 🤦‍♂️ you guys need to stop looking for excuses to sack him. Yes, he wants to entertain. And yes he wants to win. What’s wrong with trying to do both? As you all here say historically Spurs trophies and titles are average. So how about have a crack, play entertaining football WHILE trying to win. I mean you guys will find fault with Mother Theresa 😜

Only if she plays a back 3!

idiots.

It's hard to tell. Johnson is starting to look Dele-esq to me. Deki is starting to look on a par with Eriksen.
Vicario is no worse than Lloris really. Neither were/are great under pressure.
At their very best Romero and VDV are/could be as good as Toby & Jan
If Porro and Udogie were 80% of Walker and Rose then they're both doing well.
Sprinkle in Madison, Bissouma, Bentancur.
I just never feel the team looks as well coached or motivated.
Seriously all you ever post is negative shit. How the fuck do you even get out of bed each morning. Miserable sot. Oh that’s how. Let’s find ways to shitbag Ange. 🤦‍♂️

Fucking finally. Someone who gets it.

What’s funny is, I don’t think Daniel Levy himself actually understands that.

When stacking the players up side by side (I know that's what you asked) I'd have to concede and agree you are probably right. My thoughts are driven by how we are playing at the moment under AP's "style/philosophy" and I think the current crop would produce better displays, individually and otherwise if AP tempered his approach.
You don't like scoring more goals than anyone else in the league? Having the second best GD?

These are usually good markers of a side on the up?

But maybe you're right and there's a better manager out there. Who knows?

If Tyson fought like he sparred, he’d knock Paul out in 5 seconds. Wake up 🤦‍♂️. It was rigged. Now let’s not derail the thread.

Tyson has 3 seconds in him. The end.

Not spot on.

Tell me City aren't as bad right now as they have been since they were bought in 2008.
Go on. Tell me.
They were definitely worse in 2016 when they finished 4th on goal difference. This is the worst they've been since Guardiola came in.
Yeah, and Mike Tyson was the baddest man on the planet.
Just not when Jake Paul beat him up.

This weekend, City will likely lose at Liverpool.
Brighton will beat Southampton and leapfrog them.
Arse will probably beat Spam and leapfrog them.
Chelsea will probably beat Villa and also leapfrog them.

All of a sudden, City aren't still 2nd. They're on a 4 game losing streak that has seen them drop to 5th and 11 points behind the league leaders.
City are done this season. When they lose this weekend, which they will, they're out of the title race altogether already. The only way they'd catch Liverpool would be if the entire Liverpool squad met an unfortunate end.
And even then i still think it would be Chelsea or Woolwich that would catch them, not City who have do defence or midfield.
I'm dealing in facts pal. City are currently second, and the 4 times champions. That made up scenario you've just typed out may not happen. I'm sure spurs going up there and winning 4-0 nobody predicted.

City always seem to go through a bad run of form around this time iirc, it's certainly worse today than it's ever been though it's only 3 league games they've dropped points in out of the 6 they haven't won in, but you'd be a fool to write them off and say they're finished imo. People have said it for the past few years when Woolwich were ahead. City are done, title is over etc. Liverpool lose 2/3 in a row and they're all of a sudden bottling cunts and it's back on again.

Man United have 20 titles. Did it move the needle when we beat them?

We didn't beat the City that won the title last season. This is not that team.

Their form isn't great clearly....but that's partly due to us no?....as we've beaten them 2 out of the 5 games they've lost.....(by 'us' and 'we', i mean Spurs btw).
Even when we beat a good team, you're all: 'but they're in a crap run of form!'..😡...so what's the point really?
If you are really a Spurs fan why do you bother really? Might as well watch badminton or golf maybe?.....🤷‍♂️

Is it so strange to enjoy our season rather than bucket it!

Was it due to us that they let 4 in Vs Sporting? No
Was it due to us that they threw away a 3 goal lead against Feyenoord? No
Was it due to us that they lost to Bournemouth and Brighton? Of course it wasn't.

City without Rodri, 115 charges looming, Walker fallen off a cliff, an ageing squad and a coach who looks like he's ran out of ways to motivate what he has, are done. They'll be out of the top 4 this weekend.
Their choice now is whether they just go out and buy in January and ignore the charges, or whether Pep can make do with a knackered squad that look like they have nothing to play for anymore.

They have won everything. They earn tonnes of money. That squad is finished. In years gone by he'd have replaced a lot of them already but they can't. For the first time they can't buy themselves a refresh,

It's so weird that you can't see that these comparisons are made in direct response to those who dismiss the idea of entertainment being part of football and indeed Anges stated aim to play entertaining football.🤷‍♂️
