What nobody is seemingly able to understand is this form isn't intended to be it.. the pinnacle. We are not even half way into this yet.

The point of what he is trying to do is make us play football good enough (and exciting enough) that NO MATTER what teams do, low block, triple bus, or come out to play we will annihilate them. The football that he strives to play will be entertaining AND fucking successful. Memorable....

He didn't get the job because his teams played with inconsistency. He wants to be remembered when we win stuff for the amazing style of football. For example who the fuck remembers Leicester for that? I recall Huth and Morgan committing unpunished gbh every match. I recall Vardy buying penalties on demand. I remember managers and oppo players saying how lovely it would be for Leicester to win, before rolling over. I dont recall their 'amazing football' though. And look what happened afterwards with no inhalers.. yeah they fell right off didn't they. Football was fuck all to do with why they won, a most tainted trophy if ever there was one.

All of his clubs he radically changed their style to a brilliant form of football that was effective, successful and very entertaining. It's what he is trying to do here. Patience is required, not constant bashing and toys out the pram. Give him a chance will you?? Clearly we are on the right track. What's the rush? I'm 30+ years into Tottenham, have seen tonnes of bad shit, we should be hardened to anything thrown at us by now. I want to see good entertaining football, not anti-football...the winning will come in due course.
We do have a ridiculously thread bare squad riddled with injuries and once we have a full team able to carry out the framework he is providing we will see consistency. The fatigue from overplaying due to injuries is quite bad and has hampered us so rotation isnt as great as it could be. We need RW cover, LB and a back up striker minimum. We will not see any big compromise / change on style until he thinks the players have FULLY got his ethos, mastered it. So hoping for him to 'shut up shop' is absolutely pointless and a waste of everybody's time..he has never been known for it..again the point of his football is to batter the other team, not shut up shop. If Son scores instead of skying it 1 minute after the 2nd, we likely score a 4th before HT as Roma are crushed. Then they do not have half as many shots against us because it's GAME OVER for them. It's fine margins. Sometimes for a team yet to find their peak this type of result can happen... Can't bash them too much they are the top scorers in the PL so are getting something right...it's almost as if we are on the way to implementing what Ange wants...

Hallelujah

:ange-clap:

Fuck my life.

The results got in the first half of the 2015/16 season were inconsistent.

Do you understand what that word means?

We lost 2, drew 8 and won 6.

does that seem consistent to you?
Yes, it seems like we were consistently hard to beat, which is something all well coached teams are would you not agree?

Or do you believe losing 5 out of 12 games when you haven't yet played the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea is something well coached teams do?
I highlighted the period of inconsistent results because I have to defend the indefensible at all times. It makes sense to highlight the first 16 games because that was the best way I thought I could defend my idol.

It's not that complicated, I just love Angie and everything he does and if it's not good then it's the team he currently coaches that's to blame not Angie.

It's a shit result for Southampton tbh, they're not the same Brighton as last year
Thats Good Robert Deniro GIF

I think we’ll lose 12-14 games in league this season. I have no idea where the losses will come from, but so far no reason to think we will be beating Chelsea or Woolwich anytime soon. Probably will lose to Liverpool and Newcastle too- maybe take a point in one of the ties. Plus at least another 4-5 somewhere else losing where we shouldn’t.

19-6-13 my guess for our final league record this year.

another contradiction from the idiot. when he first came, the wally on spurstv was interviewing him about a pre season game which we drew or lost and said the result doesnt matter and the performance was good or something along them lines. the neanderthal snapped back saying "results always matter".

he really does have an absolute catalogue now of making himself look a contradicting fool with the press.

if mourinho or conte were saying the shit this idiot says then people would say they are actively trying to get sacked.

funny how results are only important when it suits him i.e city games that hand the scum a huge chance of a title. results are important then arent they. fucking mug.

so hes not the winner that we should all be so lucky to have, hes just some mug that wants to entertain neutrals.
I think I lost several IQ points reading all that, cheers

We have to stop finding excuses for poor defending.
Roma equaliser where 3 players allowed someone to tap it in was, not down to injuries or age it's basic defending.
The team always gives the opposition a chance as we saw on Thursday and many other games.
It could easily have been 5-5, that might be great for a neutral sheer excitement but, teams that generally win leagues will see that out 2-0.
You can't gauge what he has done in shit leagues before, premier league is a lot tougher with higher standard of players across every team.
We don't know what team will turn up each game, will they win tomorrow possibly, will they lose tomorrow again possibly. We are in to the second season now and really should be laying down foundations of consistancy.
And yet the team are nowhere near that, win one, then follow up with a piss poor performance next.
I am not asking for him to go because, who else can work under this set up, ange is ok with the young players who reduce the wage bill, who out there wanting to challenge themselves would come here.
Many fans were so fed up and disillusioned with previous defensive set ups that, this all out attacking football is a breath of fresh air, even if the games are wide open like ours are that are frantic and turns into a mess.

most know I don't want this guy at my club, just can't take his kind of defending
what has playing his style of football means that we don't defend the far post in second phase of a corner ?
I understand he wants a high line defence (don't like it ) but that has nothing to do with basic defending a corner, stay with your player

Been on this place since pretty much Day 1.

Without fail people will always mention Bill Nich as being our greatest manager. Year after year.
Despite most people being born after 60/61 or in nappies when we won it.

Bill Nich average goals against 1.33 per league game in our double winning season.

Ange is averaging 1.08.

That’s a fact.

Safe to say Bill Nicholson spurs must have been a defensive mess. It’s the Spurs DNA.
